I'm giving this 10 out of 10 because its the first time in a long time that i have come out of the cinema thinking 'im glad i spent my money to watch that.' Nolan is easily one of the top 5 directors in Hollywood today. A man that had no previous experience in blockbuster films suddenly being thrown into a superhero franchise and actually making it better than all the previous efforts truly deserves recognition. The old Batman's weren't bad (im talking 1+2) they were nice and dark, well shot and very solid efforts but i think Burton neglected Waynes character over showing off his Batman.
Go and see this tonight. Its a true summer film that entertains, is value for money and wont leave you annoyed when you leave the cinema.
I loved it.

Over the last 5-6 months ive been watching films that have disappointed me and left a sort of emptiness inside me. Then along came Rushmore and yes, that emptiness soon went. In fact Rushmore filled the hole (so to speak) so well that i really cant imagine anything beating it. Its not just the perfect directorial technique or the once in a career script writers life script that does it. So many people on here have put the film down in so many different ways and of course thats fine. What these people have to ask is what did they expect from this film? Its everything anyone who wanted to be entertained/inspired could ask for. The intelligent yet charmingly vulnerable Max, the seemingly stone cold Mr blume who turns out to be completely the opposite, its perfect. I cant say anything else that will make you want to watch this but i can say this, once in a while films come along that are truly original, these films live in the memory for a long time and question the ideology of..life, its true and i might sound strange for saying it but those of you reading this and have seen the film and either enjoyed it/hated it might want to ask yourselves this question...what is the secret?
Who knows?

I stumbled across this one night when flicking through the channels and thought id stick with it. I am so glad that I did, in recent times no film has made me think about so many different things at once. Life, existence,love....and many more. It was a birage of imagery that has left me truly inspired. If you haven't seen this film I cannot recommend it more.
