Kirk-30's rating
I found the movie to be excellent. It had lots in common with a personal favorite, "My Fair Lady", in the fact that a class nerd was taken in to be made the class hotty in comparison to a town's homeless lady being educated to be a refined woman. Rachael Leigh Cook was perfect for the part, though, she made a gorgeous nerd. Though it had its corny scenes, it had its definite moments.
My thoughts before I went to see this were not too thrilling. I figured it was to be a racist movie, and that I would be shot by seeing it, but I was wrong. It's brings those with a bigot mind to tears. It will make the hardest, toughest man cry. Edward Norton was tremendous in this role. Eddy Furlong, quite a comeback!
The movie had me on my toes, but not being much for horror flicks, I gave it a 6/10. After seeing this, it is safe to say Rachael Leigh Cook is devilishly cute in her many ways. The movie is definitly one-of-a-kind. If your looking for a flick that will scare your sweety into your arms, instead of scaring them away with Friday the 13th, I recommend this movie.
