why i stay up late at night watching "B" movies on hbo and cinemax is beyond me, but i think they're fun. Well, The Postman was on HBO and this movie was on the Max.. i am taking a film as lit class and well, i saw a few things in this movie.. it's entertaining, it's classified as a comedy, but i don't see it as one.. sure, there's some funny parts, but nothing extravagant. it wasn't a waste of my time at all, the popping up of recognizable charactors was also nice.. it seemed like i have seen everyone in some other movie, or tv show. So all in all, it wasn't bad. catch it if you want.
From an open minded perspective this movie was good. Cinematography was absolutely stunning, and any lack people felt in this film was certainly made up for with the scenery. Plot loses itself at times, yet it's all interesting. The film's First half had me in it's fist, but then the grip loosened later. Seeds laid in the earlier part of the movie stuck out and could not have been forgotten causing little suspense, and therefore allowing correct assumptions to be made. Sound is amazing throughout. This beacher gives it a 7
i laughed so much in this movie, not because of the fact that it was poorly done because it was very well done, just because of the predicament of Porter. I mean, everything happened so perfectly, that it takes you along, you feel great about the movie and you laugh when he succeeds, you cringe at the pain, you feel the suspense of the final scene.. the movie envelops you, and maybe that's why i laughed so much, because it made me feel bad, so bad that i felt so good. its a great film, a feelgood comedy for the twisted, like me. =)
