Well, the "ole guy's" still got it... I thought this film was very well done..kept you in suspense and on the edge of your seat.. I have seen the majority of Clint's movies and rarely have I been disappointed..
I find all Danielle Steel's movies are good, clean and entertaining. When young Vanessa finds her mother, I felt what an impact this must have on a young girl. But I didn't realize how much until near the end, when it was clear she had blocked it all from her memory. And Angie Dickinson was, as usual, not only beautiful but a great actress. I felt the only weak part was the relationship between Teddy and Linda, if that was her name. I did not find her listed in the credits. I have not read the book so don't know if it was different. Maybe time did not permit this to be explored in depth. But all in all, I enjoyed.....
A search for a woman's natural mother, turns up not one mother, but three. The search was started to secure medical history for her children, but turned out to be a release of her deep-set emotions. I liked this movie for many reasons. It was based on actual events and shows the value of not giving up, although I felt her search for the truth was "a bit too easy".
