  • Surprisingly good

When I saw "Fatal atractions" in 1999 I didn´t see why everyone seems to think that film is sooo good. I think this one is much better. Better acting from Richard Gere than from Michael Douglas. I also think that Diane Lane made a very solid performance. The music was very very good. Especially in some of the final scenes where Edward is sitting with his son by the piano.

Flaws?? hmm, perhaps why Diane Lane´s character seems to be so intrested in the Paul Martel-charcter. I think he was very disgusting the whole film.

another flaw that is more serious is that it´s going too slow from time to time.

    RATING: 7 out of 10

+ = Richard Gere, Diane Lane, Music, Envirements - = tempo & parts of the story

  • great idea, poor result!

I have seen most of Christopher Lamberts movies. I have several favourites like "Highlander 1-3" (of course, Resurrection, Fortress and "The Hunted". I think that "Fortress 2" wasn´t that good, so I really was looking forward to this movie. Lambert plays the agent Tony from Israel(!), he is hunting a terrorist with his group. They kill a guy, who they think is the terrorist but Tony is sure that they have killed the wrong dude. One by one the terrorist (with his new plasticsurgery-face) kills Tonys groupmembers. It´s easy to understand what will happen next. The filming is like they have made the film with a handycam. It is very low-budget-style when they have their carchase in the beginning of the film. Lamberts performance is very solid and I really hope that he will find a better script, because the other film he has made this year also became a sad story for us Lambert-fans. We want you back in the parts that made you the one you are today. Like in "Knight moves", "The Hunted" or "resurrection". It doesnt have to be a fantastic story like in "Beowulf" or "Mortal Kombat" but something that you can understand and still is very exciting. I can not say other than that this movie was a cheap try to make a political thriller. 4 / 10

  • best film of 2000!!!

wazup... i´ve been reading the book american psycho and was very happy when I first heard that it would be a movie based on the boojm and that Christan Bale was casted as Pat Bateman. Then I heard that Leonardo Dicaprio was casted and I almost fainted. He was not man enough to play a serial-killer with his baby-face. Then (thank god), Bale was again casted and the movie came out. First of all, I can only see 2 people do that part. 1. Christian Bale and 2. Christian Slater. They are both cool and can perform well in a part like that but I think that Christian Bale was perfect. My favourite scene was definitely when he played "hip to be square" and killed Paul Allen with an axe in the livingroom and then smokes a cigarette with blood in his face. The movie is very hard to explain since it is a story of a very strange man :-) But I think that the movie was even better than the book, which I thought wasn´t possible. Willem Dafoes part seems to have been cut down and that´s perhaps the only reason why I does not give it a 10... Best film of 2000!!! 9/10 andy olzon
