This movie is somewhat underrated, at least in my opinion, I guess that one has to enjoy cars to enjoy the movie. Anyway, it has Mark Hamill in one of his many not-so-famous roles, but he still makes the film watchable for a Star Wars fan. Pretty good chase scene at the end...
Most people didn't care too much for this film. But for some reason, the critics loved it. Good points: flashback with Mickey, returning to the slums of Philadelphia, father/son relationship, good ending. Bad points: Tommy Morrison's acting, choice of rap music on soundtrack, no "big fight" for Rocky. The fight between Rocky and Tommy was pretty predictable too. In short, I'd suggest watching Rocky I or II instead.
This movie is quite possibly the worst adaptation of Superman ever produced. The Special Effects look homemade (notice how Superman's suit turns GREEN whenever he is flying due to the use of blue-screen), the acting is horrible, the film quality is poor, and the plot is even worse. Who ever heard of a satellite that could CONTROL weather!?? Richard Lester thought that this movie should be a comedy. Bad choice. It's a shame how bad this film is when compared to some of his other films, even Superman II. Oh, but what happened...
