  • a gem worth watching over and over again

Although this movie received dismal box office returns, it's a gem that's once discovered, would leave you "breathless" (as Jeanne Wolf described) Despite negative reviews that this is a lightweight prison movie, I beg to differ in my opinion. The cinematography is wonderful and the movie had a great cast who had given exceptional performances, most noted is Kevin Bacon's tortured Henri Young. Christian Slater also displays his most matured performance to date. Anyone who watches this will feel themselves being swept away by the high running emotions in this excellent movie!

  • Enjoyable yet..

This movie got some pretty lame acting and a no brainer plot. If not for Bruce Greenwood's redeeming performance as the dashing Jason Holister, the whole movie is unwatchable. Emma Samms gave a slightly convincing performance as the photographer turns brother's avenger, while for the rest of the cast, except for Bruce Greenwood of course, all I can say is, their acting is tolerable. On the whole, I say, watch this but only for Greenwood's charming performance, and don't expect more out of the movie.

  • Barbara Hersey is good!

I like Barbara Hershey in this movie, so wicked and yet so sexy. Her acting's great, portaying a manipulative slut. Her co-star also did quite a convincing act of a sucker. As this is a true life story, I believe a lot of parts of it dramatise, but then it had keep me glued to the screen for the whole length of the TV movie. This movie probably goes down into histrionics but it's entertainment enough.
