Julie Walters (Maureen Hardcastle) in a role that makes her shine with Robert Linsday (Billy Bowmans) playing a great ex-male stripper cum promoter.
When Jimmy Hardcastle brings in a troupe of strippers to boost his pub's revenues, Maureen, his wife is furious, especially when the star of the show turns out to be her long-lost school friend Billy Bowmans. Maureen becomes entrepreneurial with the idea of a ladies room, there are many laughs with a few twists. Don't let the title put you off it was worth the eight out of ten that I gave.

A very intense drama that shows just how strong human weakness can be. Ray Winstone plays the happy husband and proud father until 'our boy' goes missing. Then its only one road for him thats down. A great cast with Ray Winstone in particular playing with utter clarity. There is one scene that will rock you, bring the hairs on your neck up and a hankie to your eyes.I have no hesitation in giving this film a ten.
A Brit movie set in London.
A Brit movie set in London.
Highly recommended gritty Brit film that is at times intense that has good pace. When Charlie and Myra meet to the jealously of Myra's pimp, the obvious fireworks ensue. Do not be put off by the title of the film, it as nothing to do with Hannibal and his ilk.
