Ok, so maybe some people may call this movie your typical 80's comedy. I don't think so I love this movie. I've seen it many times and laugh at it every time. It's a movie filled with things that you wonder if that could happen, most likely not but hey it's fiction. Michael J. Fox is cute as always and Helen Slater is great as the female lead. It's a comedy with some drama in it too and I love the ending. Rent, watch, and enjoy.
This movie has laughs and cries all rolled into one. Filled with Oscar winning and nominated actors that prove they have talent. Robert DeNiro is wonderful as actor and producer. Meryl Streep gives a wonderful performance as the rebel daughter that ran away from home and is forced to go back to help her sister played by Diane Keaton. Of course Diane Keaton was nominated for an Oscar in this role and it was a very deserving nomination. Leonardo DiCaprio proves that he is a man of many talents and not just another heart-throb that comes rolling out every couple of years. He'll be around for a while. The story had many funny times and many sad times it was filled with a roller coaster of emotions. I loved this movie and any one whose family has been affected by cancer can relate to what it is saying.
This is one of the worst movies I think I've ever seen in my life. Who on earth spent money on this piece of junk. Whoever they are I am sure they are regretting it. I am not a Pauly Shore basher, I really liked Son In Law, but this movie is worthless. Do not see it, I'd say burn it and put it out of its misery.
