This show was promoted as "From the creators of Family Guy." If only this show was as funny as Family Guy.. Actually, eating lead paint chips is funnier than having to sit through this garbage.
I wonder how many laugh boxes they burned through on this first episode because they use laugh tracks every 2-3 seconds. I wish I were joking, they lay the laugh tracks on thick. Maybe they're REALLY hoping you're fooled into thinking this show is funny.
Oh and btw, all this show is is a VERY poor ripoff of "Get A Life" from 1990, a show that starred Chris Elliot... The difference is that show was actually funny! I doubt this show will make it past a few episodes, it's THAT bad.

This show is not funny. Period. It's insulting how closely this resembles Bernie Mack and Grounded For Life all rolled into one glorious piece of poo. Why is it in the Simpsons/Family Guy/American Dad lineup to begin with?! Arrested Development fit that lineup so much better than this thing. It should be at the end of the lineup so I can just turn off the TV and walk away instead of having to channel surf till Family Guy comes on.
The writing is horrible, the acting is over done, there's absolutely nothing new with this, and the laugh track is, well, laughable. The only thing missing is a family dog, a next door neighbor, and a real studio audience.

It's embarrassing to even try to watch this Americanized version of a fantastic British TV comedy. The original show's creator/writer helped develop the American version, but despite his great writing skills, the American version severely lacks in several areas. It's simply NOT FUNNY. Most of the original show's charm is how good the actors can take what's on the script and make it their own. If you compared the British version of Jeff versus the American version, it's simply pathetic how night and day the two are. British Jeff = Funny. American Jeff = Needs to go away.
I felt my brain melting when I tried to watch the American version, it was absolutely horrible! The forced laugh track doesn't help and in fact brings out the awkwardness of how flat and unfunny the American version truly is. You MUST avoid this show at all cost and watch the British episodes on BBC America instead. Stop the madness and go watch the real thing.
