  • Not sure what I just watched...

I really don't know how to express how ridiculous this movie was. There are so many good films coming out of Spain and this unfortunately was not one of them.

And I feel that the actors are going to get the brunt of this negativity but it really starts with the writing.

I don't know why anyone thought the plot was going to be spectacular. But then it just really went downhill as the movie went on.

Especially towards the end when the story kind of finally unfolds it seemed very forced and quick.

I don't find the love interests believable and I feel like all the characters had lots of drama.

I mean if you got some time to kill and you're just curious then see it but don't go around changing any plans just to see it.

  • Enjoyable

I enjoyed this movie. I do think that there's a part of me that sees that this could be Joey Potter later in life, with her messy and complex situations. I don't think it's not much of a stretch in character.

With that said, I like the fact that Katie Holmes is branching out into writing and directing. I'm excited to see what's to come because I do think she has talent beyond just acting. Although, I did enjoy seeing her in this film, playing a character she wrote, you can see the ease of it.

I enjoyed the pace of the film and just all of the throwbacks to what it was like at the beginning of the pandemic.

What in the world did I just watch?

Seriously, who doesn't like a cheese holiday movies? Don't judge all Xmas movies by this one. The writing was terrible which means the acting follows. The sets and the lighting looked awesome though.

I hope they both find work outside of the holiday genre cuz I think there are actually both good actors, just not in this. Not for one second did I think that she was a dancer on Broadway.

Let's go watch a few movies that are a number of years old to find a better one. This was really painful to get through.

Good luck navigating this mess of a movie.

    Happy holidays!
