This is a better than average tv movie, but most Martin Sheen movies are. In this one he plays a scientist testing nuclear warfare. His acting is great. I like watching movies that enables you to learn something from it and it's like the makers of this movie want that message to get across to the viewer.
Obscure film set in the mountains of West Virginia. The movie centres on four strange people, all wanting different things out of life and each other. The quality of the movie is what lets it down, because the acting is quite brilliant, especially from Martin Sheen and Davey Davidson. They share some great one on one scenes together and develop a sense of atmosphere and meaning to the whole film. The intentions of such a small scale film it means well.
Based on two Jules Verne novels. This is an exciting action adventure with an emphasis on world domination and flying machines. The evil Robur (Vincent Price) is the navigator of an airplane ship hell-bent on destructing all of the worlds war machines and armies for the purpose of peace on earth (what a mad case). He must be stopped by Strock (Charles Bronson) a government man whose tough but level headed.
The effects are brilliant for an early 60's film and the screenplay and music is spot on. This is a lot of fun.
