  • A truly terrible movie.

No wonder the British film industry is in a terrible mess if The Film Council is financing rubbish like this. Its badly directed, poorly shot, the acting is hammy beyond belief and even the props (check out the American car) are cheap beyond belief. I took my kids to see it in a half empty cinema and apart from a couple of Moms behind me who found it hysterical most of the children were bored stiff after the initial noisy farts. As a film school final film it could be passable but as far as a British film being shown to the rest of the world.....its too embarrassing for words.

  • How/why was it made?

What a truly awful movie. Its such a piece of West LA/gay propaganda I'm amazed, well I'm not really, that Madonna went any where near it. The acting is utterly souless and the whole relationship is totally unreal. It was clearly made for the loony gym freaks of California with so much muscle on display it was sickening. Madonna has the body of a light weight boxer and is about as sexy. Rupert's head looks like its on someone elses body altogether. The relationship and attitude of the overly beautiful boy/son of Rupi is sooo dubious there must have been an outcry when this movie came out. How this film got the greenlight not mention distribution when there are so many brilliant scripts out there dying for money I just do not know.
