Match Game is supposed to be a celebrity show. The old Gene Rayburn edition never got A celebrities but at least they got B celebrities that we, at least, knew of, or heard about. These people on this show, are barely "celebrated."
Anthony Anderson is probably the only one on the panel a majority of viewers recognize. Kevin Nealon has basically faded into near obscurity. No one outside of the viewers of "Only Murders in the Building" know who she is. BD Wong is barely remembered for Jurassic Park. And I will wager 99% of people have no idea who Cara Delevingne or Ziwe are. When you have "celebrities" that no one knows...no one cares what comes out of their mouths.

The movie is about a man that feels no physical pain. His problem is so bad that he can't even eat solid food on the fear he might seriously bite his tongue and not know it and bleed to death.. Consequently, because he must be so careful with his daily life he seemingly lives a solitary life working quietly at a bank and then spending hours at home playing video games with his unseen online opponents.
Things begin to go haywire after he gets the hots for a girl who becomes a hostage for a group of bank robbers. His goal has now changed from playing video games to rescuing the poor lass. This is when the movie falls apart. What had been an amusing situation with his painless life, now because an exercise in observing him getting mutated as he attempts to rescue her while suffering no pain. We are supposed to find this funny...however, along the way, the violence becomes completely over-the-top with way too many innocent people being killed. There's quite a bit of mayhem and needless deaths...all because of a guy who got the hots for a girl and wants to play hero...IT AIN'T FUNNY!

Everyone is always laughing on this show, even if it's not funny. The contestants do not feel like real people...they are performing an act of being what they think a contestant is..no average person would act like they do. I have a feeling they hire out-of-work actors to be contestants. The host is too energetic...he's way over the top and far too cheerful for the dreary going-ons.. Some of the "celebrities" are not celebrities...I didn't recognize or could identify several of them. The questions are quite uninteresting and the joke answers given to the celebrities fall flat. Overall, the whole show is an annoying hour of fake laughter and fake excitement.
