Crimes of Passion is easily Ken Russell's best film. Its also one of the best films of the 80s, they dont make them like they use to!!! Crimes of Passion centres around Joanne (Kathleen Turner) who is a fashion designer by day and a kinky hooker by night who speciality is role play! She becomes the object of affection by a love sick client (John Laughlin) and an object of obssession by a deranged priest (Aanthony Perkins). This film is a trash classic. Its campy dialogue also makes for a bit of comedy! Kathleen Turner is great in her role and Anthony Perkins once more convincing as a psychopath. Its interesting how at times this film sounds and has a feel of a stage show which surprisingly works well. Its also interesting to see Louise Sorrel, who plays Vivian Alamein in Days of our Lives as one of Turner's clients! Dont miss out on this classic!
Chained Heat is an absolute classic. I can watch it over and over agin and never get sick of it. Its a pure trash classic. It centres around Carol (Linda Blair) who is an innocent thrown into a sleazy prison run by two adversaries Bachman (John Vernon) and Taylor (Stella Stevens). Its a heavily corrupt prison with two main gangs one headed by Erica (Sybil Dannning) and one by Duchess (Lousia Moritz), and with drugs, fights, lesbianism and murder thrown into the mix u know u r in for a good movie. Honestly the acting is hopeless, but who cares? you are not watching this film like an oscar voter, enjoy it
By the way does anyone notice how Linda Blair is constantly being raped in films? (Born Innocent, Chained Heat, Savage Island, Savage Streets, Red Heat, Silent Assassins)just to name a few!

Will someone tell me why the US is raving about this inspid aussie TV movie? Most Australians who saw it hated it, and its a well known fact that Aussies cant make action films, we'll leave that to the americans and the europeans who make spectacular action films. On The Beach is basically about a nuclear holocaust that has destroyed most of the world except for a small part in melbourne, australia where everyone is coming to terms with their inevitable doom. I have never watched a mini series so boring, it is completely lifeless and sleep inducing. Bryan Brown and Rachel Ward sizzle? PLEASE!!!!! They couldnt sizzle up the screen to save their lives. Both Bryan Brown and Rachel Ward are hopeless in this, with laughable, feeble dialogue to match. Armand Assante who has done good work is wooden and miscast. The only decent above average actor in this is Jacqueline McKenzie, although she couldnt save it. Dont listen to the hype, On The Beach is a disaster.
