Buffy is a show about Life. This is hidden as a story about a girl, having a secret identity, killing vampires at night. It's more than a teen show, it has depth and maturity. It's about growing up, finding out how hard the world is. So, this was sold to teenagers. It's a rough time in your life: you realize your parents can't fix everything, the authorities may not do the right thing, and some of the bad people in this world are really, really, bad. This show is based on analogies- the old vampire analogy, where drinking blood is an analogy for sex, is of course the most visible of those. Some people might say you shouldn't push this kind of stuff on teenagers. Well, I say they need to know the hard facts of life- and they are better off for it. - Some people might say the show is generally unsuitable for the age group the majority of its viewers come from, as some common Buffy themes are the effects of raunchy, careless sex, lust, murder, and lying. Well, as Life might be seen as unsuitable for minors, they may have a point- if only the world could have been as innocent as they then assume it is.

As for the show, I would say it has three - or possibly four faces. Season one is the most innocent, (allthoug it is tough), season two and three is even heavier on growing up and finding out how hard the world is, season four and five consolidates season two and three, but a bit more soapy, while the last two seasons unfortunately are notable soapy, and seems to be somewhat influenced by someone who says "make sure we give people a not-to bad impression of authorities." This is not the same show as it was when it started, and -hence- it lies to the viewer about how the world is, but I have disregarded this in my voting here - IMHO, the first five seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the Best Show Ever.

Movies with neonazicme are normally just hateful against the phenomena. This one goes in-depth, it tells that even the bad guys are human. And it is amusing. A deep, funny movie, political correct maybe but still not the way I am getting so tired of.
