  • I've definitely seen better... but I've also definitely seen worse.

Watched it today. Harley and Lily were charming and did good. I wouldn't mind seeing them in other projects, ones that didn't involve their Dads. It was more odd than funny (or scary). But I didn't hate it.

  • I just watched this...

And there was nothing funny about it at all. This had very little to do with the alleged topic and was about the mutilation of men. I only wish IMDb's ratings system went lower than one, because it doesn't even deserve that. Many insist that violence against women isn't funny, so I guess a female version of this entitled, "I Hate Ovaries," where men are depicted smashing eggs and saying, "Well, since I'm not allowed to cut out women's ovaries, I'll settle for doing it to -ahem- female dogs." is out of the question. If that's the case, then why is violence against men so funny? It isn't. You say it's just a joke? Well, I'm not laughing.

  • It works!

what could be said about a horror movie where an evil clown tickles people to death?

Is there finally something new under the sun for horror fans?

    Most definitely.

I've always known that tickle torture has an untapped horror potential. When I was young, I'd had nightmares about being chased and tickled by the old, creepy Hamburglar and the Micky Mouse from Disney World (I suppose I was too young and frightened to consider if someone was actually in the costume). I could never figure out which was worse, them tickling me or the loud echo my laughter always had in those nightmares.

Of all the people or things in the world I'd want tickling me, they weren't one of them.

For that matter, neither is a fat, pasty-faced clown with a squeaky voice.

My fellow horror fans often complain about the state of horror movies these days. Nothing but remakes and rip-offs. There's nothing original anymore.

Well, it doesn't get any more original than this.

The fact is, it works. Gitchy works.

Oh yes, there's tickling. The actors really were tickled. There's no lingering over the tickle scenes, and that's okay with me.

Is this the start of something new? Will someone in Tinseltown take his head out of his corporate overlords' collective @$$es and take notice? Will Gitchy go Hollywood? Will there be fear and trembling on Elm Street? Well – let's not get ahead of ourselves.

But I have to admit: I'd love to see the looks on the faces of Rachel McAdams, Maggie Gyllenhall, Kristen Bell, and Anne Hathaway(among others!) when they walk into that casting session and see that feather duster.
