  • Nice but confusing

A great movie but some questions are still unanswered, hence adding more questions. Firstly, why are there 2 Sadakos? And how come we never see the evil one? And why did the father want to split 1 Sadako into 2? If he is able to split them, then why not destroy the evil one? And what does the TV have to do with Sadako being ressurected?

U remember how she was supposedly killed by the mob? Well they brought her corpse back to the village & went to find the 2nd Sadako. Remember the scene where the TV started flickering & after that Sadako's hands began moving & she came back to life? What was that all about? Was that a sign that the evil Sadako had made contact with the good one?

As she was stalking the reporter, it was obvious that was the evil Sadako. But later when her father went back to the house, we see the good Sadako. Very confusing indeed. And it still doesn't explain how she cursed the video.

And more importantly what's the purpose of the cursed video? Those who watch will die in 7 days & the only way to avoid death is to pass the video to another person. The question is, why does Sadako want the video passed to so many ppl? What does she hope to achieve by this?

Obviously she would be p***ed at being trapped in a well but why would she want to curse all mankind with the video? And why a video? Wouldn't TV broadcast be faster & reach more ppl?

  • Horror?

What horror? This movie's not even about a haunted lift. There's no ghost or poltergeist at work. Its about a mad scientist who experiments with computer chips & something screws up & you have an elevator with a mind of its own. I'm sure a haunted lift would be more exciting. After all I think we're quite sick of movies about machines coming alive.

Not a very interesting movie & a tad unrealistic at times. Why on earth is the police the one setting up stinger missles? Isn't that the army's job? And how come the police even have stinger missiles in the first place? And why would the police place stinger missiles all over the building & then leave them unattended to? Doesn't make any sense at all!

But at least Naomi Watts was in it, so that's a positive thing. Must say she looks a lot hotter here than in The Ring. Boring story line but at least the babe makes it not a total loss!

  • Scary!

Just like to say that even though this is one scary movie, the original "The Ring" (a Japanese movie BTW) was even scarier. If you think this Ring made you shiver, I guarantee the original will make u pee in your pants! As a parting note, if you like The Ring then you will love another Jap movie Dark Water. That too can easily make you pee in your pants!
