I gave this a 10 not because it's perfect, because Halloween and Psycho weren't perfect either, but sometimes someone makes a movie that plays out exactly like it's supposed to.
Sure, the ending was a little long, but it was also hilarious! The acting was brilliant, the script, the sets, the makeup, the music, the direction, all wonderful! The Cronenberg-esque effects were perfect and even for a "message movie" this one hit a home run!
Film classes will study this film one day - it really is that good. Demi Moore should've won the Oscar and I hope she knows this is the best movie she's ever done. Wonderful, wonderful movie!

Halfway through Season 5. The multicultural Camelot, black Lancelot and black Merlin, Portuguese Guinevere, what a hatchet job! It's so ridiculous it looks like a high school play for the casting.
It was always dicey with Americans playing German folklore characters, but over time you overlook it. The Australian Belle, who is supposed to be French, half black Maid Marian who should have been lily White British, it's partly such a mess.
The good - I really like Hook, Snow, Prince Charming is a wuss but I like him, Zelena, the Evil Queen, Arthur, Pinocchio, Geppeto, Robin, Henry, the Dwarves, Grandma-ma, Red Riding Hood, Cruella, Maleficient, Rumplestilskin, and of course Emma totally rocks!
Anyway, it's a good show if you can overlook the DEI casting job, but relish in the first season, maybe the second. After that you just want it to recapture the magic.
