When I first saw this movie was included in the Karate Kid DVD Set, I almost thought about just buying Karate Kid by itself. But after watching it, I really enjoyed it. It was really cheesy at parts, but other parts were enjoyable and funny.
Miyagi is great as usual, which is the main reason I even bothered to watch the movie in the first place. This movie is worth at least a one-time viewing if you really liked the Karate Kid movies.
Hillary Swank did a pretty good job too. The plot was pretty hoaky, and it was similar to the first Karate Kid, but there was a different dynamic since the hero was a girl this time.

The movie started out alrite and Alfie was an interesting character at first. The way he talks to us watching the movie and his boyish charm were fun for the first 15 minutes. But then you realize that this format stays the same and it loses its effect and the movie becomes very long.
It seemed like there was no point to the movie, he just moved from one woman to another and it was always the same thing. At the end all the women had moved on while he tried to reconnect and it just wasn't moving. The scene with his kid wasn't moving either. The whole movie just seemed bland.
I wouldn't recommend watching this movie unless you like pointless movies or are a Jude Law/Alfie fan.
Stick to Jim Carrey :)

This movie is my favorite sports movie. The plot is awesome, the baseball scenery is amazing. The history of the game comes alive in the movie, and the story of Shoeless Joe and the Black Sox is brought back to life. The movie is very emotional for me especially when Doc Graham sacrifices his dreams to save Karen's life and also at the end when Ray Kinsella plays catch with his dad. The music is so beautiful and causes strong emotions to form.
If your dad taught you how to play baseball, this movie will move you. If you love baseball history, you will like this movie. Even if you don't, you will still like this movie.
