Seriously, what was/is the fuzz all about? I wanted to see this movie in a 3D IMAX theater, so I had to wait for 2 months as the theater was constantly sold out. By this time all my friends had already seen it.
The IMAX version started with an IMAX 3D introduction clip that really blew me away. I thought 'this will be great.' But then the movie started and within 30 minutes I lost interest. The story was just too stereotypical and the only thing that was left was CGI. Oh, look, beautiful renderings of unknown worlds. Boring. And, to be honest, I found the 3D to be very distracting and not adding anything at all.
After an hour and an half I walked out of the theater. I wish I hadn't gone for the '3D IMAX' experience, because I think I could have enjoyed the movie more in a normal '2D' theater. 5/10

What a piece of junk this movie is.
First, it takes about an hour to even start with the storyline. You could easily skip 1 hour and not miss a thing.
Secondly, the acting is terrible! Are these experienced actors? They sound like students in a high school play.
Thirdly, the dialogs are inane. There are plenty of kids' movies with wittier dialog.
Lastly, the humor is bad as well. There are two kinds of jokes in this movie: slapstick (when getting out of a car, the door hits a guy and he falls in a canal) and misinterpretation (somebody asks a question, but it is answered in a different context).
Bad, bad, bad. Not all Dutch movies are this bad, believe me!

I enjoy the story line (well, most of the series' story lines anyway), which is the reason I keep watching the show, but man, some scenes seem so clumsy and B-level, that I can't help doubting the skill of the writers. The "oh no, I dropped something" nearly kissing somebody-trick; the last evil look before closing the curtains. Just two particularly bad moments of the top of my head.
But I'm giving the writers the benefit of the doubt. I like where it's going and I hope they manage to pull it off.
By the way, I can't help being reminded of the movie Mystery Men. Same idea, different genre.
