I saw this on a online video site. I have no clue when this movie was released or any specifics on it, but I do know that I would have never seen this in a theater, and even yet video. Free is free though, so i figured why not. The things that stuck out in this flick, had to be the plot. A nudist group is forced to leave because they are considered immoral by the church and town, so they all kill themselves, ala poison punch. The scene where the old woman is telling the story and keeps going on and on right before the man is trying to drink the punch is pure comedy. Anywhoo, they all vow to haunt their camp and kill blah blah blah..you get the point. A church campgroup, for SINFUL teenagers (ooo aren't they all sinful?) vactions in...the exact same nudist camp a couple years later, they all die, yadda yadda. The musical numbers in this simply add to the corny feel of this. Some of the tunes are actually catchy...in a retarded sort of way. Nothing serious comdeywise...its all one big parody, or maybe its trying to parody other parody, or maybe...actually who cares.

Watch this if you have nothing better to do..

Out of the reviews and comments I've read for this movie, not a single person mentioned Tricky. I'm not sure exactly what tricky's character was officially called, but you will remember him as Gary Oldman's Right Hand Man. As Tricky, Milla, and even Lee Evans (if ever so briefly) grace the 5th Element, I see no reason not to watch it. Sure bruce willis, doesn't come to mind as the "hero" if you were pitched 5th's premise. However his supporting cast more then make up for his sterotyped acting.

I especially like the cinematography, even more specific, the use of color contrasts. One one hand you have a movie like Payback, using darker shades, and bright white contrasts. Here you have focus on colors. Each color is brought out in a comic bookish anime setting.

5th is a damn good movie..replayability may be on the lower side, but hey, it's got TRICKY DAMNIT!!!!

Wow. Where to begin? Liquid televison was a major factor in my life. Well, entertainment wise at least. I was just barely old enough to start enjoying MTV when this baby aired. I can distinctly remember the varying styles of animation this series brought. From the sci fi realism of Aeon Flux (with her death in every episode), to the live action plastique look of dog boy, L. TV was a gallery of creativity. This show did indeed spawn some of MTV's most popular animation shows as well, like the aeon flux series (a less condensed version that folowed a story, unlike L.TV's one shots), and Beavis and butthead. Kudos has to go to MTV for even showing these twisted toons. It's a shame that L TV is no longer around. Even it's spinoffs (head, aeon flux, beavis and butthead) are no longer around. Still it's nice to see after all these years (8 to be exact) people still remember liquid tv. I highly recommend you try an catch an episode on one of MTV's animation festival weekends. There is a new incarnation of L TV, entitled Cartoon sushi, but to me it lacks what L TV had. It would difinatly suggest you pick up a L TV tape also, it's much more then worth it.
