So, first, the "areas of improvement"

At first it feels like a sequel where you didn't get to see the first part. It's disconcerting for the first couple of minutes.

Some dialogue (even to me) felt wooden or forced.

The conflict between the two fictitious countries at times seems unnecessary, and at others its far too obvious which real countries they are referring to.

That's pretty much it. The rest is an absolute BLAST. I wouldn't say there is fan service as much as there are homages to Supermen of times past (I couldn't see any for Man of Steel, although supposedly there are some references). The eye candy is great. Even some monsters are SO cute. There are times when I felt that nice feeling about being a kid and listening to John Williams' theme, and coupled with Superman, it was a joyous trip to my childhood.

There are slight connections to Gunn's previous works (Creature Commandos, veeeery slight) and a surprising one that I wasn't expecting but had me laughing.

But the thing which I really loved is - the core of it all. Superman reflects the core values of, well, not Superman, not an alien, not an american, and not exactly a kid from Kansas, but of what we all should be. He's just a good human being. He tries, he fails, he learns, but in the end, for a movie about an extraterrestrial alien with superpowers, I just LOVED how it portrays everything that is good, kind and welcoming from all of us. That's the biggest thing that separates this Superman from Snyder's dark, brooding and emo superman, connects him so much with Reeve, and ends up being, for me, the highlight of the film. You just feel happy, and giddy and excited and hopeful for him.

Look up, indeed. Loved this movie and I hope the DC Universe keeps this tone.

I went in fully expecting to be dissapointed but hoping to be wrong

First the good things

1 Rachel Zegler wasnt bad at all and she might be the highlight of the film Her acting is good her singing voice is great she does look like Snow White All good there

2 Some scenes are really stunning The one where Snow White ends her nightmare and is next to the dwarfs house was particularly nice looking

3 The CGI animals are SO Cute

Now the bad things

1 The story is atrocious It seems to me they wanted to cram as many ideas as possible or they tried different directions at certain points in time ended up not wanting to throw anything away and did a mishmash of things that sometimes work but oftentimes dont The inclusion of the 7 bandits and the 7 dwarfs is the most jarring one It seems to me they didnt make up their mind on which set to use as replacements for the original ones and they picked both and it doesnt make much sense

2 The story is atrocious pt II The first 15 minutes are pure exposition and the story treats you as if you were reeeeally dumb Theres so much exposition about the importance of apples and diamonds argh

3 The songs Are Horrible Echo Echo Echo Echo WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS GREAT GREAT GREAT

4 Gal Gadot Enough said

5 The dwarf replacements will give you nightmares

6 The story pt III And this is where I have an issue with Zeglers performance Snow White is supposed to be a young teenager innocent and vulnerable Not here Shes anything but Shes bossy to an uncomfortable degree Shes nothing like Snow White just like the story has an apple an evil queen and 7 wait 14 creatures

I couldnt finish watching it before napping every now and then I was laughing because I did see it on a plane yesterday and yes I thought Id rather open the door and get out rather than keep watching it It truly is as bad as everyone says it is

Disney should be VERY ashamed of themselves.

What can you say about The Wiz? It's boring, and that has to be the worst thing a movie should be. Even worse, when you consider you have Michael Jackson and Richard Pryor on board, plus what seems to be infinite money, and New York City as a backdrop. I had to forece myself to watch it and it wasn't a nice experience at all.

But I believe, the worst thing about the whole show has to be Diana Ross.

The Wizard of Oz with a 6 year old is believable as a figment of a child's imagination. With a 13 year old may be a stretch, but with Judy Garland, it's such a pleasure. With a 34 year old playing a 24 year old, it's a mess. Diana Ross never had a worst actng moment in her career. I struggle to think of any actor on a major motion picture acting as bad as she did. She spends the entire movie moping, worried, or displaying such a massive amount of insecurity it's uncomfortable.

Her ego destroyed what was left of what could have been a pasable movie. What a shame.
