  • The best tale of Camalot yet!

At first, I thought that "The Mists of Avalon" would be just like every other tale told of Camalot, but I was blown away by the originality of this story. It is told by the woman who has always been viewed as the villan, Morgaine. It is mainly about the struggle that the followers of the mother goddess go through as Christianity spreads through Britain. It focuses more on the mystical ways of Avalon and less on Camalot, making it different from most stories. The performance of Anjelica Huston will blow you away. It is one of her best films yet. Contains a great cast and beautiful scenery. It's a must see, and would best be viewed without commercials to interrupt.

  • Witty and hilarious, this movie is sure to make you laugh!

Ok, well it's not an action-packed thriller, but if your in the mood to laugh, be sure to pick up "Faithful." Cher and Chazz Palminteri give excellent performances that are sure to have you rolling with laughter by the middle of the movie, as it is filled with witty dialogue.

  • A "beautiful" masterpiece

This film was truly excellent. I've heard some say that it didn't depict reality like that is something negative. Yes, I've seen "Schindler's List" and although it was a good movie, I didn't like it because I hate to watch people get tortured and killed. I can't take it. Watching life is beautiful wasn't easy to watch either. There is only so much reality I want to see. I don't think that the characters in the movie made concentration camps look "easy" either. Children and elderly people getting gassed in a big room doesn't look "easy" and neither does being separated from your family and being forced to work all day long fearing for you life. None of that looks "easy." I think that "Tea With Mussolini" and "Life Is Beautiful" are very similar. The thing that I liked about "Tea With Mussolini" is that there was no concentration camps and the main Jewish character Elsa (Cher) escaped back to America. That was what I found to be beautiful. I know that wasn't reality and very few Jews escaped, but you want to see movies about the Elsa's of the world who did get away. : )

  • Wonderful comedy!

Ok, so it's not an action packed thriller, but if you're in the mood to laugh, it's a great movie. Cher's acting was wonderful when you consider the fact that it was mainly just her and Chazz Palminteri for the majority of the movie. I personally thought that Chazz's acting was excellent. I mean, he wrote the movie AND was the main character. To me that seems like it would take a lot of talent which he obviously has to accomplish such a thing. I've heard some people say that they were disappointed at the fact that Chazz played his normal mobster character. In my opinion, his best rolls are when he plays a hitman, mobster, etc, because you know he's Italian, and makes a great tuff guy, even though in reality I bet he's probably really sweet. Another comment I've heard is that it was boring. If you thought it was boring, see it again because you didn't understand it. Keep in mind that the strength of this movie is the witty dialogue BECAUSE it was based on a play and BECAUSE it was a play/movie that was from the perspective of a cheated housewife held captive. What did you expect?

  • A heart-warming story

This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Words can not even describe what kind of emotion you feel at certain times during this film. I loved it so much that I went to see it three times. It takes place in Florence Italy where you are greeted by the beautiful scenery at the beginning. You soon meet a young boy whose mother Claire has died and father will not except him. So he is taken in by a group of English women and held under the primary care of Mary (Joan Plowright.)

You then meet Elsa (Cher) an American art collecter and her friend Georgie (Lily Tomlin.) You soon find that a majority of the English women look down upon Elsa, especially Lady Hester (Maggie Smith.) But these women have to put their differences aside while raising Luca and facing the dangers of World War 2. I left this film with tears in my eyes and you will too. Cher, Lily Tomlin, Maggie Smith, Joan Plowright, and

Judi Dench give glorious performances in this heart warming drama based loosely on the life of Franco Zeferelli.
