Metallica: Cunning Stunts (1998)

  • How I learned to love live...

This "Documentary" changed my way of looking at concerts on video. At first I thought they were all alike: boring two hour concerts where you can't hear what the dude says let alone what he sings. But with CUNNING STUNTS it was different. Metallica gave it their best on EVERY song and gave everyone, including me, a great live show (Even if it was on tape).

I love metal and this concert shows that metal still lives!!!

  • This film was great...FOR ME TO POOP ON!!!

Double Jeopardy, eh? What a stupid concept. O.K., so if you are SAID to have killed someone, but the person's still alive and you actually kill them then it's O.K.? What the hell? No wonder our law systems f*cked up (Guess what word that is). Jeez, God, that's stupid.

Oh, back to the movie. I thought this movie was another one of those "releasing an 'action film' so we can keep the money rolling in, even though no one will remember it". Oh, and the acting: Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd give stunningly painful jobs as the parts of a guy who runs a...uh, house and a wrongfully accused woman. I think the only one who did a good acting job was the KID!!! Stay away!!!

  • Uh....no

I was constantly confused by the movie. I don't understand how a hand could make it back to earth without burning up in space, and....and.. (sob) AH! The hand crawled all by itself, bled even though there was no blood circulation, and none of the characters were likeable. Don't go near this at all!

  • So-so, yet...good

I am a bealtes fan, as others are,too (Duh). I thought some parts of this movie trailed off into nothing, but in all it was pretty good. the midget, the fat lady, even the stripper (Censored). If your a fan of the Beatles or weird film making style rent this movie, but if you just want a movie with solid story and plot then, well you're the fool on the hill.

  • "The Boys" try to stop Crumb and the aliens.

When I saw this movie in rental stores I knew that there was something about it just by the cover (An alien flipping the bird). I was not disappointed at all with this movie. It had all of the ingredients of a nonsensical splatter-fest. It had humorous gore, like the wiggling spine and the blown off head that seemed to be filled with barbed wire, and many elements that have been used in the Naked Gun movies. I thought every thing was just right in this movie. Rent it for your next party.
