I'm sorry to anyone who truly enjoyed this film, but I didn't like it. It confused the hell out of me. The thing that confused me the most, though, was how I stayed awake through the whole thing. I love Sean Connery and I love Catherine Zeta-Jones, but seriously, what were they thinking? I can't believe I paid money to see a sixty plus year old man ogle a thirty year old. Also, it was way too predictable. Oh my god, she's a spy, too! I didn't see *that* coming! Honestly, if you're looking for a good movie, don't see this one. It's a waste of time. But this is just my opinion. If you wanna see it, go ahead. But don't say I didn't warn you.
In reviewing this movie, I should start by saying that the acting is wonderful. Whether he plays a psychopath or a friendly lawyer, Matt Damon has never ceased to amaze me. And Danny DeVito was perfect as Deck Shefflet. He manages to reach extents that most actors are afraid or unable to reach. Though the topic of this movie is serious, DeVito puts the fun, not so innocent humor into the film. Claire Danes is excellent as the sweet, insecure abuse victim. The entire cast is great, but even if they were the worst actors to set foot on this earth, the movie would still be good. Bravo! Encore!
After seeing advertisements for "The Matrix", I thought, "TOTAL guy movie." But after hours of pestering and tormenting from my older brother, I sat down to watch it. Yes, it was a "guy movie" but it was very girl friendly. Here's why: 1.) Keanu Reeves. enough said. 2.)Trinity has to be one of the coolest female characters I've ever seen. 3.) Well, the movie just rocks. But you have to really pay attention to understand it. This isn't a movie that you can get up and go to the bathroom or get a snack during. If you miss a minute, you'll be lost. My mom fell asleep and missed five minutes, and she was confused. If you like action, and you know you'll be able to stay awake, and duty doesn't call, this is a must see.
