Ok, so I went to see this movie purely to see if it was as bad as the reviewers say it was. And to be honest, I loved this film. As with most sequel's, if you try and compare it to the original, a completely different style of horror flick, then it does look bad. But both of these films were great B-Movie's in there own right. If you walked into this movie expecting to see a straight forward scare film like The Haunting, you would be sadly disappointed. The film, does leave you guessing as to what really went on, like the original. I came out of the film wondering whether the group really saw what they did, or whether the video footage they recorded was telling the truth and they merely mass-hallucinated which made them believe they did not commit any crimes. Sure, some of the acting is over dramatized and some of the lines are really corny, but if you are a fan of B-Movie horror flicks, you will consider this one of the best. And I'm sure the title 'Book of shadows' is a reference to the book two of the characters are writing about the events in the first film, but it seems other reviewers have failed to see this link. All in all I thought this was an excellent film, personally I preferred it to the first one, and I will see it again.

Firstly I sat and read the reviews on this site for this movie, and decided that this film was not for me. On arriving at the cinema however this was the only film I was able to see, and I was totally surprised. Both my friend and I enjoyed the film from start to finish. Ok, compared to Lock Stock its nothing, but as it is, I found it a very amusing, albeit slow in parts, movie. However to enjoy this movie I would recommend only those with a good sense of humour watch it.

Firstly, this movie doesn't even compare to the original Dusk till Dawn. But if you watch it for what it is, a straight to video B-Horror movie you will enjoy it, especially if you are a fan of low budget horror flics. The cast generally do a good job considering, with Patrick's character clearly standing out.

If you are fortunate enough to see it, look out for Bruce Campbell's ( Ash from Evil Dead ) wonderful cameo appearence at the start.
