Yeah we all know that Saved By The Bell is in no way realistic, but who cares? Entertainment is entertainment. My grade 8 teacher used to tell my class every day "High school won't be anything like Saved By The Bell" and we didn't expect it to be. But that doesn't mean the show wasn't great. What tv show is realistic? Except documentaries, none! Saved By The Bell had some kooky storylines, and many times it had bad acting, (not by the stars of the show) but it was a definition of the late 80's and early 90's. And isn't that all we require?
Oh how I miss Degrassi. Why oh Why is it not on anymore?
Yes, I know that it's not realistic towards the high school environment, but come on now... Entertainment is entertainment!! Also, no offence to anyone, but most of the acting was mediocre at best, but strangely it didn't take away from one's enjoyment of the show.
Degrassi was definitely the greatest Canadian teen show ever. Yes, it beats "Madison", "Ready or Not", and the one on YTV where there's a band... I can't remember the name... Oh yeah, Degrassi is also better than "Student Bodies" in my opinion. However, it could definitely be said that perhaps Degrassi opened the door of opportunity for these other low budget teen shows.
Maybe I'm just trying to relive the good old days of my childhood, (when I was between the ages of 4-9 it would seem) but if you can catch an old Degrassi rerun, watch it.

"Mallrats" rules. It will continue to make you laugh even if you watch it over 50 times.
WARNING: If you get offended easily, like if someone says "ass" or "sex" on television, then this movie probably isn't for you and you should go watch "the Sound Of Music" or something of that genre.
The writing of this movie is amazing. Kevin Smith is probably the most brilliant filmmaker alive. I think he should run for office somewhere, because if I was of legal voting age, I'd vote for him! Everything about this movie is not only funny, but very witty as well. The acting is also very good, especially that of Jason Lee's character "Brodie". That was a terrific performance.
I give it a definite 10. And I think it was worth the 23-day late fees I had to pay because I didn't want to return it. I ended up buying the movie later. And what a great purchase it has been!
