A new DC Universe report reveals how long James Gunn's Superman movie may end up being when the film hits theaters this summer. While the Man of Steel hasn't had a solo film in several years, DC Studios is changing that with the arrival of Gunn's Superman movie in a couple of months. With Superman being one of the most highly-anticipated movies of 2025, many are waiting to learn as much as possible about Clark Kent's cinematic return.

In a new report from The InSneider the outlet claims that the upcoming Superman film with David Corenswet currently has a runtime of 2 hours and 2 minutes. This would make Gunn's Superman movie the shortest of the hero's roster since the sequels to the Christopher Reeve films. At the time of this story's publication, DC Studios has not commented on the Superman runtime report.

The Fast & Furious actor gave a rundown of his work and mentioned a standalone project starring the extraterrestrial sentient tree-like creature.

While filmmaker James Gunn has a great track record, the Man of Steel isn't a character it's easy to make relevant in today's world. The hero is viewed as overpowered and old-fashioned by some, meaning even the best Superman movie is unlikely to strike a chord with them.

Car-jackers beware. Hannibal Lector himself is administering a new brand of punishment in the upcoming thriller from producer Sam Raimi. Locked is directed by David Yarovesky, who has collaborated with James Gunn on the film Brightburn and also directed the disco-centric music video for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 titled “Guardians Inferno.” Yarovesky directs from a script written by Michael Arlen Ross, who penned Turistas. Dave Bautista is ready to join James Gunn's DC Universe. The actor recently revealed that he has told Gunn, who is co-ceo of DC Studios, to keep him in mind for future roles in the new shared universe.

During a chat with ComicBook.com to promote his new movie In the Lost Lands, Bautista shared that he is unlikely to return as Drax in the Marvel Cinematic Universe unless Gunn asked him to reprise the role. However, the actor shared that he is still open to appearing in future comic book movies, stating that he does "wanna be in that world, I’m a fan of that world, I’m a fan of comic books and that whole universe." The man had left his rom-com era in the dust and was straight-up slaying in Dallas Buyers Club, Interstellar, and True Detective. By then, McConaughey wasn’t just back in the A-list club—he was running the show. Marvel even tried to reel him in for Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Tony Stark's Iron Man armors alone displayed an incredible evolution, from a pile of scraps to state-of-the-art nanotechnology.

The MCU has generally been pretty faithful to the source material when it comes to superpowers. Even difficult abilities to explain on screen, like Scarlet Witch's Chaos magic and Vision's density-shifting powers, or outlandish abilities like Ant-Man's size-shifting suit, have been translated to live-action as realistically as possible.
