Strange plot / good performances

Good one. Strange plot, good performances, beautiful photography, nice pace and music. Bit sad, but... I like it!

Strange but not captivating

Had I not read the synopsis, I guess I would have stopped watching after a very short time since the movie looks like two already boring movies interleaved. It is watchable. But it is not appealing. Characters are unlikable, especially the Chinese ones. Production is standard quality for an American movie (not sure it is American though). The central idea could have led to something more interesting than having two mostly unrelated storylines going on. Watch it if you have nothing else to do, or watch it while you do some chores like ironing, washing dishes.

Also Called 2/1

So is it two divided by one which is suppose to mean? This mostly Canadian creation, if you didn't know any backstory or plot hints, after watching for at least half the movie you would conclude it's about two very different, slightly dysfunctional, men on opposite sides of Earth living excessive self-achieving competitive lives. One taking Benzodiazepine (a sedative to help anxiety ridden sleep issues). I actually missed the connection that one sleeps while the other is awake, but did sense that there was some connection between the two such that they were likely to meet - unless something horrible was destined. Could have used more clarity and less jumping back 'n' forth.

thoughtful and poetic

While using beatifull photography and good performances this movie brings many questions of life, of relationships and invites you to get inmerse in a philosophical mood. Also it presents a curious and misterious bonding between two man and it's ambitions inviting you to wonder about life in a magically way. I define it as an art film, is not for entertainment or for watching something that makes logical sense, instead is for flowing with metaphores and poetry.
