It’s Madonna, bitch!
On Friday, the queen of pop took a stab at covering one of the princess of pop’s most iconic songs, posting a haunting cover of Britney Spears‘ 2003 hit “Toxic” to social media.
The cover was in honor of World AIDS Day, and came attached with a message to Madonna’s followers to stay active about the cause. “Silence = Death,” the mother of six wrote, adding the hashtag “#poisonparadise.”
It was also a birthday wish to Spears, who turns 36 Saturday. “Happy birthday,” Madonna, 59, wrote on Instagram, tagging Spears.

MaryAnn’s quick take… A sweet, romantic story about the polyamorous triad that created a beloved superhero… and about the power of comic books to speak to our inner lives. I’m “biast” (pro): love the cast; desperate for stories about women

Sorry, all you dudes who may have been expecting something salacious and debauched from a movie about the guy who created Wonder Woman for DC Comics. Cuz you’ve heard that he was into bondage and somehow managed to convince his wife to bring another woman into their lives and their bed: woo-hoo, threesome! But Professor Marston & the Wonder Women isn’t perverted, and it’s not pornographic, not even of the softest-core type. And this ain’t Fifty Shades of Grey, either. Thank Aphrodite. Selena Gomez is opening up about the powerful reaction to the Neftlix original series 13 Reasons Why, which she executive produces, and the highly anticipated second season.
Speaking with Elvis Duran and The Morning Show on Monday, the singer and actress said she was "definitely overwhelmed with the reaction" she'd gotten following the release of the first season.
"We had the rights to the book for seven years, so we knew we wanted to do the book justice because it already had a following," she recalled. "The content is complicated, it’s dark and it has moments that are honestly really hard to swallow."

Debuting at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2016, Matt Tyrnauer‘s Citizen Jane: Battle for the City has received rave reviews across the country as it opened in limited release last month. Centering on Jane Jacobs — a journalist, author, and activist — the film showcases the problems inherent to how urban planners in the mid-twentieth century worked.
One of the key proponents of this movement to teardown what he deemed “slums” for new, mammoth housing projects of concrete erasing the very communities they sought to “save” was New York’s Robert Moses. His power and reputation allowed him to force his ideas through the legislature for decades until Jacobs caught wind professionally and personally (he would eventually target her neighborhood). She ignited to take a stand and share her own beliefs in writing and via protest on city living, safety via “eyes on the street,” and the notion that cities are defined by its people,...

The wrenching changes to the digital video system are likely permanent, but is this really the end of the world as we know it? YouTube’s waves of demonetization are being referred to as the #Adpocalypse. It’s a quick shorthand and an appropriately internet way to describe an internet problem. But it also raises critical questions. Is it temporary or permanent? Will these storms pass? Or is this the new normal, with at least some creators’ advertising revenue unlikely to rebound? In other words, are we truly witnessing the beginning of the end of YouTube as we know it?
The big-picture trends in the digital video business, plus the changes to YouTube’s algorithm we saw last year, point to something far larger — and potentially permanent. The old YouTube is not coming back, because YouTube is no longer interested in just being YouTube, featuring and catering to its homegrown creators of the past decade.

It's only fitting that Star-Lord would get his star.
Chris Pratt was honored with the coveted Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Friday, as wife Anna Faris took to Twitter to offer hilarious live-tweets of the occasion, much like she did at her husband's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 premiere earlier this week.

"736am. In front of shower. Again. Chris is getting a star today on Hollywood blvd. I'm supposed to speak. Oh boy," Faris tweeted bright and early in the morning.
"755am. Deodorant application commencing. Might need extra coating. But it'll be my secret, dammit," Faris followed up her initial tweet.
A little while after, Faris caught her husband working out some nerves on the acoustic guitar, tweeting, "815am. Found chris doing this. He's clearly a ball of nerves just like me."

Even when he has an important ceremony to get to, for Chris Pratt, fatherhood comes first.
Ahead of receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Friday, the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 actor, 37, took some time out to help his 4½-year-old son Jack with a task that Star-Lord may never have to worry about but Daddy certainly does.
“1018am. This is happening. First tie-tying tutorial,” Pratt’s wife, fellow actress Anna Faris, tweeted alongside a too-adorable snap of her husband and son working together to secure Jack’s multicolored accessory.

There is often complains from the moviegoing public that Hollywood isn't dealing in original ideas enough these days and that they are a little reboot happy. Hollywood may have gone too far this time. It looks like, as hard as it may be to believe, Warner Bros. is actually looking at doing a reboot or "relaunch" of The Matrix. Yes. This is happening.
Brace yourselves, because this news is coming from a very reliable source and though the project is in the very early stages, it most definitely appears to be a real thing. According to The Hollywood Reporter Warner Bros. is in talk with Zak Penn to write a treatment for Matrix 4. THR made it clear that they don't know what shape the project will take, specifically using the word "relaunch." It could be a full-on reboot, a sequel, or a requel, if you will. Something in between. Either way,...

Super Bowl Mvp Tom Brady didn’t bother with Disney World this time around — the New England Patriots quarterback instead chose Disney’s late-night broadcast show. Or at least, a fake version of No. 12 did. Matt Damon crashed ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” — a show he is effectively banned from — the night after Super Bowl Li. The actor managed to sneak past security posing as the five-time NFL champion. “I’m mostly happy to be here, on the show,” Damon-as-Brady told his host last night. “I’m on the show!” “This is happening,” he continued, to the audience’s delight.
