Mötley Crüe Play “Secret” Club Show in New York City: Video + Setlist
Image
Mötley Crüe played a “secret” club show at Bowery Ballroom in New York City on Monday night (May 6th). The band had teased the concert on social media under the moniker “1981” (the year they formed), and were met with a packed house for the gig.

The 12-song set at the 600-capacity venue was mostly filled with the Crüe’s best-known tunes like “Looks That Kill,” “Shout at the Devil,” “Dr. Feelgood,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” and the closing number, “Kickstart My Heart.” The band also played its new single, “Dogs of War” (their first song featuring new guitarist John 5), as well as a covers medley featuring tunes by The Beatles, Ramones, Sex Pistols, Beastie Boys, and more.

Mötley Crüe Unleash “Dogs of War,” First New Song in Five Years: Stream
Image
Mötley Crüe have unveiled the new single “Dogs of War” along with a visually stunning music video. The track marks the legendary rock band’s first new music in five years, and first song with new guitarist John 5.

“Dogs of War” features John 5 prominently, as it contains some heavy riffage and a tantalizing guitar solo. Lyrically, the song is one of defiance, with lines like, “Don’t let the dogs of war/ Come knocking at your door/ As we’re crawling ‘cross the floor/ They’ll make your skin crawl/ They’ll make the stars fall/ Do they matter after all.”

“It’s always great getting back in the studio with the guys in the band,” stated bassist Nikki Sixx. “We know you’re gonna like this one.”

Mötley Crüe Sign to Big Machine Records Ahead of New Single “Dogs of War”
Image
Mötley Crüe have inked a new deal with Big Machine Records ahead of their upcoming single, “Dogs of War,” arriving this Friday (April 26th). The song marks the band’s first new music since 2019.

The deal distinguishes a new chapter for the Crüe, who have undergone major changes over the past couple years with the exit of founding axeman Mick Mars and the addition of journeyman guitarist John 5.

“Mötley Crüe on Big Machine! Growing up in Southern California, I was in Hollywood when these new sheriffs showed up and took over the city,” commented Big Machine Chairman and CEO Scott Borchetta via a press release. “It was loud. It was powerful. It was game changing. Vince, Nikki, and Tommy, along with new guitarist John 5, have reignited the flame with ferocious new Crüe music. Fans will unite… Shout!”

The Flash Season 9 Just Made 1 Arrow Villain More Dangerous Than Ever
Image
Warning: The following contains Spoilers for The Flash season 9, episode 3, "Rogues of War."A DC Comics villain originally introduced to the Arrowverse in Arrow was reintroduced with a major change that made them far more dangerous in The Flash season 9. The original Arrowverse Murmur was a ruthless gang leader, given the nickname after he sewed his mouth shut as a meditative focus. The new Murmur is far truer to the original DC Comics' character but still benefits from one major change from both the comics and the Arrow villain.

The Flash season 9, episode 3, "Rogues of War" found Barry Allen assembling his own team of Rogues to counter the gang founded by the mastermind villain Red Death and beat them to the punch in stealing the advanced quantum engine that Barry determined was the villains' next target. This led to a four-on-four superhuman battle, as The Flash, Goldface, Jaco "The Hotness" Birch,...
