One of the fiercest real-life rivalries in WWE involved Cm Punk and Triple H. Long before Punk ever became a WWE star, he had beef with Triple H on the basis that this WWE system, which Triple H ironically represents, would never accept him.

Meanwhile, in the case of Triple H, he wasn’t a fan of Punk’s appearance and attitude, wreaking further havoc on their relationship. This animosity between them was behind the scenes, but also on TV. But following ten years of bad blood, a simple phone call changed everything, paving the way for Punk’s jaw-dropping 2023 WWE return.
The early feud and growing resentment

Andie MacDowell may be benefiting from some favoritism in the industry as her daughter Margaret Qualley’s star has risen throughout the years.
In a recent spot on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the veteran actress joked she was experiencing “reverse nepotism” because of Qualley.
“She’s crushing it,” MacDowell gushed. “She’s great, so good in The Substance, and the movie is fantastic. And she takes so many chances, she’s so much braver than I could have ever been. She really carved her own road, I’m super proud of her.”
Qualley cemented her star power in Netflix’s Maid, a limited series adaptation of Stephanie Land’s best-selling memoir of the same name, which garnered her second Emmy nomination after 2019’s Fosse/Verdon. That same year she was in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood, and has since made a concerted effort to headline more niche projects,...

The screen adaptation of Brandon Sandersons Mistborn has been a hot topic among fantasy fans since the initial announcement that Paloppa Pictures purchased the film rights in 2010. But since then, rights have lapsed and been acquired elsewhere, and the whole project has been paused. Although the struggles to adapt Mistborn, a series offering some of Brandson Sanderson's best books, to film are somewhat vague, a clear challenge faces its transformation to screen: the representation of its magic system. One possible way to overcome this obstacle would be for the Mistborn movie to embrace a rising trend in fantasy movies.
An increasing tendency in fantasy is to adapt or expand an authors vision into animation. The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep is expected to be released in early 2025. Stephanie Meyers Midnight Sun, a retelling of the Twilight series through the eyes of Edward Cullen, will come to life in late 2025 or 2026. George R.

Andrew Bird and Madison Cunningham have joined forces for a top-to-bottom cover of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks’ 1973 album Buckingham Nicks. Cleverly titled Cunningham Bird, the project is due out October 18th via Loma Vista Recordings and Verve Forecast. To preview it, the duo have shared two of the record’s songs: “Crying in the Night” and “Crystal.” Stream both covers below.
Buckingham Nicks was the first and only record to come solely from (you guessed it) Buckingham and Nicks, as they both joined Fleetwood Mac in the following year. Today, the album still has yet to hit most streaming services and remains out of print physically, which Bird and Cunningham cite as one of the reasons they became interested in it.

Movies with plot twists and gasp-worthy moments continue to be extremely popular, as audiences love the shock factor that these twists bring to the table. It takes a lot of skill and intelligence to lead viewers down one path and then reveal a plot twist (a testament to the skill of these writers and directors) but these can sometimes become very dark, very quickly.
Movies like Fight Club, Gone Girl, and Goodnight Mommy were thrillers to begin with, but first-time audiences did not anticipate the surprising turn of events that occurred at various points in these movies. Some of them even had multiple twists that chilled viewers to the bone when they were revealed.

Debuting on September 28, 2021, the Netflix original drama series Maid has become one of the platform's most popular new titles. Based on the Stephanie Land memoir Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother's Will to Survive, much of the appeal comes from protagonist Alex (Margaret Qualley), a woman who leaves her abusive husband with her young daughter in tow and begins life as a domestic worker.

Next week is a big one for Universal Pictures, as they launch their Dark Universe franchise with The Mummy. The movie stars Hollywood A-listers such as Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe, along with rising stars like Sofia Boutella and Annabelle Wallis, and with stars of this magnitude, the budget is quite large. A new report claims that the budget was $125 million, which comes after a "considerable U.K. rebate," while Tom Cruise is said to earn upwards of $13 million up front, with "sizable back end participation." While the other movies that are being developed in this franchise will likely be big-budget affairs as well, this report also claims that there may be room for some small-budget movies.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals that micro-budget producer Jason Blum has "expressed interest" in shepherding a low-budget entry into this monster universe. This report also claims that Universal has a few advantages over other "shared universes,...

The producer and director also used the event to break some news, announcing that they are both collaborating on a new remake of Firestarter, the 1984 horror classic starring Drew Barrymore. Universal Pictures is also involved in the development, but it hasn't been said when production may begin.

The horror genre often derives much of its appeal from playing into expectations and generating visceral terror at the same time. That’s certainly the case with “Stephanie,” a more-than-competent entry in the creepy kid subgenre that doesn’t break new ground but manages to find its footing anyway. Directed on a microbudget scale by “A Beautiful Mind” screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, the movie never crystalizes into the ominous extremes of “The Omen” or “The Bad Seed,” but it nevertheless develops a prevalent eeriness around the chilling performance of a young child.
That would be the titular Stephanie (Shree Crooks, the youngest member of the anarchistic family in “Captain Fantastic”), who spends most of the movie entirely on her own in an empty house. After a bizarre and somewhat cheesy opening segment set in an inexplicable dystopian future, the movie flashes back to the disquieting story of Stephanie, who inhabits her...

Max Winkler’s “Flower” is nothing if not a coming-of-age story, but it’s explicitly clear from the very first scene that the film’s teen characters have already lost their innocence a long time ago. We open in the front seat of a cop car, as 17-year-old Erica (“Before I Fall” star Zoey Deutch, acing another tricky lead role) gives a dispassionate blowjob to a uniformed police officer. Not that she doesn’t enjoy giving head — Erica has a sketchbook filled with immaculate drawings of every penis that she’s ever put in her mouth — but, like just about all of her sexual encounters to date, this hook up is purely transactional. When the cop asks her where she learned to suck dick like that, Erica bluntly replies: “Middle school.”
It’s a simple grift, and one that’s never played for titillation: Erica uses her jailbait charms to...
