The magnum opus Puli starring Vijay, Sridevi though had buzz but failed to live upto expectations. And now, the veteran actress is miffed with the makers for not clearing her remuneration for the film. From what we hear, Sridevi is yet to receive Rs. 50 lakhs of her fee which was supposed to be given after the release of the film. However, since the actress hasn't received the amount as yet she decided to go the legal way and has apparently filed a complaint at the producers' council in Mumbai. Though the actress hasn't divulged any details as yet, one of the producers of the film Shibu Thameens recently posted a tweet referring to the issue, saying, "Will clarify Sridevi mam complaint ,postpone my surgery tomorrow nd joining my partner pts in Chennai".

As expected, Singh Is Bliing took a record opening at the Box Office on Friday. As was predicted in this column on Thursday, the film was set to register around 20 crore on the opening day and this is exactly what happened when 20.67 crore came in. Given the fact that it was a national holiday on Friday, collections were bound to come down on Saturday (14.5 crore), though they did see an escalation again on Sunday (19.27 crore), hence pretty much going by the script.

As things stand today, the weekend collections stand at 54.44 crore. With this, Akshay Kumar has set a new opening weekend record for a film of his, hence surpassing Brothers (52.08 crore). Even for Prabhudheva, this is a new record as his last film with Akshay Kumar, Rowdy Rathore, had brought home 48 crore on the opening weekend. The film now needs to be stable over the weekdays in order to cross the 100 crore mark.

There have been many a rumors going around about Shruti Haasan’s association with Hera Pheri 3 post the success of Welcome Back. Shruti Haasan who is currently tied up shooting for 2 South films, promoting another and completing her brand commitments has had a statement released from her spokesperson setting the record straight.

“Shruti Haasan has been approached for Hera Pheri 3. Due to her date commitments to her two in production South films and her soon to be announced Hindi project, she could not go through with it. She does hope to work with Abhishek Bachchan in the future,” says her spokesperson

An industry insider states, “With lady luck riding on Shruti’s side courtesy the success of Gabbar and Welcome Back in Hindi and Srimanthadu in Telugu, her inclusion in the cast of Hera Pheri 3 was considered also with the hope to further strengthen the films box office success.
