Comedy Central presents the much-awaited sitcom ‘Brown Nation’

A slice-of-life comedy series, Brown Nation, is set to hook the audiences with its simple story, filled with moments of humour and fun. Based on the struggles of an Indian-American businessman, Hasmukh Parikh, Comedy Central is taking its Indian viewers on an exciting binge-fest this Republic Day.

Hasmukh Parikh, the Indian-American, Gujarati businessman juggles between his lazy staff, a frustrated wife, a cranky father-in-law, and yet tries to keep his romance alive, which results in a floundering business and chaotic personal life.

His juggling with struggles brings some delightful and unforgettable moments for the viewers as they take a relatable journey in The Land Of Dreams. The viewers can enjoy Brown Nation on Thursday, 26th January 2023, 2 pm onwards.

‘Brown Nation’ Sets Indian Debut on Comedy Central (Exclusive)

Slice-of-life comedy series “Brown Nation” will have its Indian television premiere on Comedy Central during the Diwali holiday frame. The series will bow on Oct. 22, 2022, with all episodes playing back-to-back.

Produced in 2016, the series initially played on Netflix. It follows characters Hasmukh and Dimple from Queens, New York, who attempt to balance their work-life troubles, keep their romance alive all whilst living under the same roof with Papaji, Hasmukh’s father-in-law. It stars Rajeev Varma (“Inside”), Shenaz Treasury (“The Big Sick”), Omi Vaidya (“3 Idiots”) and Melanie Chandra (“Hot Mess Holiday”).

The series is directed by Abi Varghese and written by Matt Grubb, George Kanatt, and Varghese.

“We created ‘Brown Nation’ because it is the sort of fun and breezy show that we love to watch on TV. We are truly excited that it is premiering on Comedy Central”, said Varghese.

Known for his work both on the big screen and small, Omi Vaidya burst onto the Bollywood scene with his incredible performance in Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots. The actor continued to work in Bollywood and then came back to the Us to delve into some fabulous, varied and very interesting characters and projects.

I was able to have a long catch up chat with Omi about his current work including an important movie, a cool Bolly-mentary, a funny Netflix show and his newest special television project. Check out what Chatur has been up too.
