...but it's a very good spiritual successor. Each episode now runs around 30 minutes, and while that does cause a few of the sketches to feel drawn out just to fill the time, others, like the brilliantly executed Prom King sketch that's threaded through Episode 5, really benefit from the extended format.
My only real complaint is the uneven pacing and sketch selection. Unlike World Peace, where each episode felt balanced and equally strong, Extreme Peace has some episodes packed with the season's best material, while others, like Episode 1 (with a noticeable lack of Charls), feel undercooked.
Still, with the whole crew back together, great additions to the supporting cast, and killer visuals, Extreme Peace is proof that MDE never dies. Here's hoping Season 2 is already in the works.

There's a lot to unpack here. The show is a work of art. MDE is back and they are willing to make the viewer few uncomfortable while getting back to their unique humor. Some of the sketches stretch out through our the episodes which creates a fun comedic narrative. The synthwave and unique graphics used between the sketches are unique and fully embrace the MDE brand. What I can say after three episodes is Erick Hayden and Charls Carroll really steal the show. I'm excited to see the other half of the series to see how they rap up their various narratives.
For people who may seem lost look up definition of satire. MDE fully embrace the concept when most of society have seen to forget it.

First 2 episodes so far are medicore at best. Not comparable to the original. So far low brow and topical. I hope it gets better as episodes are released, because it's very mediocre, if not low brow and trashy. IDK how much the crew changed between the 2, but this one is way worse. Nick was ok, Erick ok, and Charls funny.
Set design is a huge step down, and the concepts are over simplified too. The CG graphics in general are awful and unwatchable. Squint and shake your head and you will get a similar headache. Overall this is terrible compared to the original series. Hard to believe the same guys made it.

There is so much chaos in the world right now. The middle east is on fire. We need more than peace. We need EXTREME PEACE.
Never before has such a talented group of individuals come together to produce a work of art this sophisticated. While it's true that this production has its detractors, I think we can all agree that those are the same folks that have formed a shady cabal to control the world's monetary policies to their benefit. We must ignore the haters and push for more and more peace.
This show is poetry in motion picture form. Everyone should watch it. Twice. Then they should watch again.

I came in with guarded optimism. Honestly, when comedy troupes have total creative control and production is left up to them, they are liable to go off the rails or suffer from too many blind spots.
I just finished the first episode and it's funnier than the entire first season combined. I can't wait for the rest and I'm very eager to see this series continue as long as it can.
They still achieve the same bizarre atmosphere they had before, and the episodes being approximately 3 times the length of the first seasons' doesn't dilute the quality at all. Their chemistry is as good as it ever was.
