The upcoming episode of ABC’s 20/20, titled “Broken Vows,” revisits the controversial case of Pamela Smart with a fresh interview featuring Juju Chang. Set to air on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 9/8c, this episode promises a deep dive into Smart’s claims of innocence, presenting her perspective directly from behind bars.
Pamela Smart, born Pamela Wojas on August 16, 1967, in Coral Gables, Florida, has maintained her innocence since her conviction for the 1990 murder of her husband, Greggory Smart. At the heart of this case is Smart’s alleged involvement in conspiring with her teenage lover, William “Billy” Flynn, and his friends to orchestrate her husband’s murder. Despite being sentenced to life in prison without parole, Smart has consistently asserted that she was wrongly accused and remains a figure of debate.
The 20/20 episode will feature Smart’s reflections on her trial, which was marked by intense media scrutiny and high-profile courtroom drama.

It happens all the time. You book a single room for a night and wind up sharing it with a focused, non-terminal repeating phantasm, or a Class-5 full-roaming vapor. Travel Channel’s new series Hotel Paranormal, which premieres Saturday, July 11 at 10 pm, will explore spectral evidence of uninvited guests and overstays. The series follows the “terrifying true stories of those who have come face-to-face with otherworldly hotel guests.” There may not be any symmetrical book stacking in Hotel Paranormal, but narrator Dan Aykroyd can quote chapter and verse on otherworldly tales.
Aykroyd is no stranger to the unexplained. His great-grandfather was an Edwardian spiritualist. His father wrote a book called History of Ghosts and was associated with the Lily Dale psychic community in New York. The new series doesn’t only feature ghosts but checks in on a succubus, pirates, witches and serial killers.
