Quicksilver's MCU death saved Scarlet Witch from becoming a far more powerful villain than she wound up being on-screen, as it prevented her from tapping into dark abilities that would have changed the trajectory of Marvel's entire Multiverse. Scarlet Witch's connection to the multiverse as an Ultimate Nexus amplified when in the presence of her twin brother Pietro would have been too dangerous for the MCU version of the character to wield. Quicksilver's sacrifice in Age of Ultron was necessary to prevent a more nightmarish scenario than viewers witnessed in Doctor Stranger and the Multiverse of Madness.

Marvel Studios reportedly prepares for the much-awaited X-Men reboot after Disney acquired its rights from 20 Century Fox in 2019. Though details about this highly-anticipated project remain under wraps, the studio is allegedly eyeing Ryan Coogler to direct the film.

Coogler has been known for creating critically acclaimed and commercially successful movies, like the 2018 Black Panther.

The film didn’t just break numerous box office records, becoming the highest-grossing film of all time by an African American director.

But it also brought the franchise three Oscar wins and several nominations, including Best Picture, a first for a superhero movie.

That said, it would be no surprise if Marvel chooses Coogler to helm its X-Men reboot.

Coming off triumphs with critical and commercial successes of Top Gun: Maverick and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Skydance Media is developing a movie based on the mysterious Bermuda Triangle.

As per the report from Deadline, director Marc Webb, known for making 500 Days of Summer, as well as The Amazing Spider-Man series, has officially signed on to steer the ship of Skydance's long-anticipated action-adventure film, tentatively titled, Bermuda. The project, centered around the enigmatic Bermuda Triangle, has been in the works for quite some time. However, due to the ongoing Writers' Guild and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the film still remains in early stages, lacking an attached writer, or cast members.

Cumberbatch's first appearance as Stephen Strange was in his solo movie in 2016, and the character quickly became a key player in the Infinity saga and especially in the battle against Thanos, being in charge of the heroes taking the right path, the only one in which they managed to defeat the villain.

The Boys season 3 opens in a place where the show hasn’t dared tread before: the cinema. After filming a whole superhero movie in season 2, The Boys now entreats viewers to the fruits of Vought International and director Adam Bourke’s (P.J. Byrne’s) labor in the first five minutes of season 3. And what a five minutes they are!

Dawn of the 7 is an Avengers or Justice League-style superhero teamup film starring the superpowered members of Vought’s premier team. In a bit of brilliant corporate synergy, the film apparently underwent some expensive reshoots to incorporate the events of Homelander’s (Antony Starr) life in season 2, namely his unfortunate romance with secret Nazi supe Stormfront (Aya Cash).

These reshoots allow The Boys to make some jokes at both the Dceu and Star Wars’ expense.

That's a wrap! It's been revealed that filming has wrapped on Marvel's Eternals. Last year's Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home marked the end of Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Phase 4 is set to kick off this year, with Black Widow giving fans something familiar, and Eternals offering them something totally new. As is typically the case with these solo movies, Marvel is hoping this could become their next big franchise.

According to a new report, all of the cast and crew have wrapped and Eternals is now heading into post-production. A wrap party was held recently and director Chloe Zhao will now be locked away in an editing room getting this sci-fi adventure ready for the big screen later this year. Much like Guardians of the Galaxy before it, this movie is based on an obscure property from the pages of Marvel Comics that many in the mainstream are completely unfamiliar with.

India’s Eros International is working with Korean production outfits Say On Media and B&C Group to co-produce a film and web series based on the life of legendary princess Heo Hwang-Ok.

The project, entitled Heo Hwang-Ok, Embrace Of Gaya, is a romantic adventure story about the princess who was believed to have been born in India, but travelled to Gimhae in Korea’s South Gyeongsang province in AD48 where she married a local king.
