‘The Amateur’ Star Rachel Brosnahan Insists She Still Feels Like an Amateur
Image
Rachel Brosnahan was already an Emmy nominee when Amy Sherman-Palladino entered her life, but the prolific creator’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel quickly turned the actor into an Emmy-winning leading lady.

Oscar and Emmy winner Rami Malek also understands the benefits of working with the six-time-Emmy-winning Sherman-Palladino, as a 2004 episode of Gilmore Girls is what launched his now-decorated career and landed him his SAG card. After Brosnahan took home her Emmy statuette in 2018, Malek eventually approached her at a New York City music festival to bond over their good fortune involving Sherman-Palladino. Years later, at the Met Gala, Malek again sought Brosnahan out, but this time it involved an offer to play his beloved wife in James Hawes’ elegant espionage thriller, The Amateur.

“[Malek] tracked me down at the Met Gala and was like, ‘I’m doing this thing. It’s in your inbox. You have to say yes,’” Brosnahan tells...

Kevin Spacey in House of Cards (2013)
Jeff Beal (‘House of Cards’ composer) on how Kevin Spacey’s exit affected the season and Claire’s ‘operatic’ journey [Exclusive Video Interview]
Kevin Spacey in House of Cards (2013)
Working on the final season of any series can be difficult, but that was especially true with “House of Cards” given the behind-the-scenes drama that led to the firing of star Kevin Spacey. “One of the real challenges we had in this season was telling our story without our former lead actor on screen at all,” reveals composer Jeff Beal, who was with the show from beginning to end. Watch our exclusive video interview with Beal above.

The sixth and final installment of Netflix‘s landmark political drama shifted the emphasis from Frank Underwood (Spacey), a conniving Congressman turned President, to his wife Claire (Robin Wright), who, as his Vice President, assumes the office following his untimely exit.

All 27 stars of Skins: Whatever happened to E4's teen tearaways?
Here's one of those 'This'll make you feel old' factoids - it's two years since the last ever episode of Skins aired.

E4's groundbreaking hormone-fest wrapped up on August 5, 2013 - with an older Cook (Jack O'Connell) heading off into an uncertain future at the close of 'Rise (Part Two)'.

Cook was but one of 27 major characters featured on Skins across three 'Generations' - in a total of 61 episodes, split into seven series. But where are the teen tearaways of Roundview College now?

Generation One

1. Nicholas Hoult

Hoult played Tony Stonem - the pre-eminent bad boy of Skins - across its first two series. Later badly hurt in a traffic accident and forced to rely on others, Tony had mellowed by his final episodes.

Now aged 25, Hoult has become a bona-fide Hollywood star with roles in this year's Mad Max: Fury Road and the much-anticipated book adaptations Dark Places and Kill Your Friends.

The Dovekeepers (2015)
Ratings: CBS’s ‘Dovekeepers’ Conclusion Drops From Already Poor Premiere
The Dovekeepers (2015)
CBS’s “The Dovekeepers” died a merciful death on Wednesday, when the special dipped from its already disappointing Tuesday premiere numbers. ABC won primetime for the key demo; Fox’s “American Idol” gave that network a first place finish among total viewers. The CW’s lineup slid from last week, though the network managed to stay above Telemundo and out of the basement. TV Ratings: 'Dovekeepers' Starts Soft, 'Weird Loners' Fizzles
Mark Burnett
CBS rolled out part one of Mark Burnett and Roma Downey's The Dovekeepers on Tuesday night. Proving their golden touch can't work every time, the two-hour opener brought a middling 1.0 rating among adults 18-49. It clearly skewed old, considering its total audience of nearly 9 million viewers. The only series to pull a bigger haul, in fact, was lead-in NCIS. The Dovekeepers Review
All episodes of “The Dovekeepers” were made available prior to broadcast.

Throwing its shawl into the Biblical recreation ring, CBS’s two-night miniseries The Dovekeepers looks to take the dry bedrock of history and chisel it into well-sculpted TV drama. It’s not the only recent attempt. With the help of reality show guru Mark Burnett and executive producer Roma Downey, History Channel’s good book adaptation The Bible received great ratings back in 2013. When the network tried to recapture that magic earlier this year with Sons of Liberty, a hunked up “interpretation” of the revolutionary war, the payoff was nowhere near as divine.

CBS is looking to court Bible fans and ratings with The Dovekeepers, an antiquity story shepherded to the network by Burnett and Downey. Based on Alice Hoffman’s historical fiction of the same name, The Dovekeepers has everything you’ve come to expect from the hormonal...

‘The Dovekeepers’ Review: Mark Burnett & Roma Downey’s Historical Epic Proves Big Isn’t Better
Debuting just before Passover starts this year, The Dovekeepers is not the only story of faith from the First Century A.D. to show up on network television in the next week or so, and it certainly isn't the best.
