Tragedy strikes with a plane crash taking the lives of several victims, including actor Christian Oliver and his two children.
Per Deadline, a plane transporting Oliver and his two daughters, 12-year-old Annik and 10-year-old Madita, crashed on Thursday. Everybody on board was killed, including the 51-year-old actors and his children. Also killed in the crash was the plane's owner and pilot, Robert Sachs. The cause of the single-engine plane's crash is now under investigation.
Authorities have stated that the plane had taken off from the small Caribbean island of Becquia with plans to land nearby in St. Lucia. For reasons not yet known, the aircraft experienced an apparent issue shortly after takeoff and nose-dived directly into the ocean. Reportedly, the pilot had radioed in that he was experiencing trouble and was attempting to turn back. That marked the final communication from the plane. Fishermen and divers in the area aided...

Fifteen years ago, two teenage girls were murdered at Merrymaker Campgrounds. The case was filed as an animal attack, the camp was condemned, and the killer never found. Now, years later Poppy (Christine Donlon) and Anita Bishop (Larisa Oleynik) get set to re-open their parent’s camp. And they even invite Roland Baumgarner (Christian Oliver), the novelist who made his name by penning a bestseller about the case, to the opening.
Billed as yet another Bigfoot/sasquatch movie, Animal Among Us is actually anything but. It is in fact a melding of genre tropes: monster movie, cabin in the woods film, survival horror, dramatic thriller, all rolled into one – sadly – dull genre film saved only by a surprising performance by former Alex Mack Larisa Oleynik.

The murders that took place at Merrymaker Campgrounds were a tragedy, but they inspired best-selling author Roland Baumgarner's most successful book. Fifteen years after the violent events, the cabins at Merrymaker Campgrounds are reopening its doors for a new generation, but something bloodthirsty still waits among the trees in John Woodruff's Animal Among Us.
With the new horror film out now on VOD and DVD from Uncork’d Entertainment, we caught up with one of the stars of the film, Larisa Oleynik, to discuss her role as Anita Bishop, and she also reflected on her life-changing role as Alex Mack in Nickelodeon's The Secret World of Alex Mack and discussed the legacy of 10 Things I Hate About You, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

Described as Friday the 13th meets Dog Soldiers, Uncork'd Entertainment's Animal Among Us might be the most bizarre sasquatch-horror movie you'll ever see. Directed by John Woodruff using a screenplay by Jonathan Murphy, Animal Among Us is filled with nods to classic horror movies from the '70s and '80s. This makes watching the movie a fun experience for old school horror fans, but as it's not a straight-up gorefest like some of those classic slasher films. To be clear, while it contains elements of slasher movies and Bigfoot horror, Animal Among Us is not really either of those types of movies, as it tells an intriguing story without an abundance of blood.
