A theater company, waiting for a tour, find themselves stuck in a family home after their van breaks down. In this enclosed space where time seems to stretch, life takes shape around the essential rehearsals for the Chekhov play that is to be performed, and the inevitable questioning of the meaning of life, the relationship to work and to love. From escapades to unforeseen encounters, the bonds are strengthened within the troupe, which celebrates life during an improvised concert and a joyous birthday party, showing that the most beautiful of utopias is built in the present. A new era can then begin.
