Loved this series

What starts off as you thinking we will be following the usual vertical trope of woman blindly marries a man she has never seen, he disappears, returns and wants a divorce - with his mother trying to force them together, quickly unravels into something new and exciting..

Kasey Esser plays our male lead, Robert Kensington, a billionaire CEO, ruthless and powerful man, with deadly enemies. Robert is the CEO of the Fuji Group, which was left to him by his father following his death, under the condition he is married. Abandoning his wedding and having never met his wife, Robert seeks a divorce from her. Throughout the series you get a glimpse into who Robert really is and his insecurities... including his cologne not smelling good (which did make me giggle) - Kasey is exceptional in this role, with his domineering presence and his ability to convey an entire monologue with a single look.

Jean Evans as Sophie Steele, Unknowingly, Robert's wife and the woman he abandoned on their wedding day. Sophie had agreed to marry Robert in order to settle family debts owed to the woman who adopted her from an orphanage... however as she enters the world of Fuji Group she becomes the target for not only the vice president and his girlfriend but.. someone else very close to her heart... Jean is an outstanding actress and her depiction of Sophie is no exception to the talent she brings to the vertical space, her ability to portray so much emotion as well as girl boss energy is sublime.

With Luke Brewer as Marcus Brewer, VP of Fuji Group and Robert's Cousin who is our lead antagonist, Bella Balsam as Hannah, Marcus' girlfriend and co-conspirator, and finally Justin Alastair as Nick Foster, the supporting cast perfectly complimented this series and were all excellent in their individual roles.

Finally, congratulations to Kasey Esser on producing this series, it is excellent and I throughly enjoyed the new take on the well known vertical trope.

10/10 from me.
