Six Brits, with very strong views on immigration to The UK, are sent to war torn countries, to see what life is like from the point of view of those seeking to get to somewhere safe.
So we all know Channel Four has a political stance, so you need to come here knowing that, it is seen from a left wing point of view.
Firstly, I have read some grotesque reviews from people about this show, I get the impression they perhaps didn't bother to watch it, just want to have their say.
I was lucky enough to visit Syria many years ago, and it was exquisite, it's so tragic to see the state of it now. I cannot explain how incredible it was, and how hospitable the people were. The poverty you'll see here is sickening.
It's an interesting, if very flawed series, every single one of them make some valid points, I don't think you can really argue that, it does very definitely have a purpose and a message.
The issue I had, they haven't exactly chosen Joe Public, they've gone for people with extreme views, almost ignoring the point of view of moderate people, who have very reasonable concerns. Strong, polarising views, with little in the middle ground, no wonder they all clashed, and all believed they were right.
Personally, I found it absolutely heartbreaking, it is so sad. The main question, who has the answers? Nobody here does.
6/10.
