Summaries

  • Deep in the Australian bush, where beauty and brutality entwine, an ancient darkness has awakened. The night of the Dark Moon is here, and with it comes a predator not bound by mercy or reason-only an insatiable hunger. American journalist Gabrielle Davis has spent years chasing ghosts and legends, but nothing could prepare her for what lurks in Marlborough, Queensland. A forgotten stretch of highway, soaked in blood and whispers, calls to her. Untouched by time, the Eugene Forest stands beyond cursed by death. Eager to appease her relentless studio, Gabrielle and her crew push forward, blind to the horror waiting for them. Their cameras will capture something far more terrifying than shadows-something that sees them too. The Dark Moon rises. And the hunt begins.—Chris Sun and Kirsty Dallas

Synopsis

  • Gabrielle Davis, an American researcher and host of the hit TV show That Can't Be Real, embarks on a nightmarish expedition to Australia, where she and her crew set out to investigate the infamous Marlborough Stretch, a forsaken road soaked in blood and whispered fears. Known locally as The Murder Highway, this isolated stretch of asphalt has swallowed countless travelers, leaving behind nothing but eerie silence and unsolved horrors. From the moment they arrive, unease clings to the team like a second skin. The reclusive Mudgett family and wary park ranger Kalinda Stewart warn them in hushed tones-never venture into the bush during the Dark Moon. Something watches from the shadows. Something that does not forgive. Ignoring the cryptic warnings, Gabrielle leads her crew into the depths of the wilderness. As the sun fades, the land itself seems to shift, warping into something hostile, something alive. A grotesque entity-an ancient, impossible nightmare-descends upon their camp in a frenzy of snarls and shadows, slaughtering one of them before vanishing into the abyss. Now, lost in the vast, merciless outback, the survivors realize they are being hunted. Their only hope lies with Hawke Marshall, a disgraced cryptozoologist and the last known survivor of a doomed expedition. His scars tell stories more terrifying than any folklore, and his words confirm their worst fears: the thing that stalks them is more than a creature-it is a curse, bound to the land by blood and betrayal. With horror closing in from all sides, Gabrielle faces an unspeakable choice. Some truths are not meant to be uncovered. Some roads should remain untraveled. And some monsters will never let you leave. By the time the sun rises, the secrets of The Murder Highway will remain buried... along with those who dared to uncover them.
