Have been following Phat Lien Binh more than 5 years. I'm so proud that now he can work with international actors. I always trust his choice, and The Outlaw Doctor is a amazing series that I can't wait for the next episode. Congratulations to the cast and team production for creating such a thrilled but also empathised drama series. Taiwanese drama always has such an incredible script. They can deliver stories about social issues but still can know how to touch their audience's hearts. This movie is so great!! The character development of Dr. Pham is super amazing! The psychological development, the way he think and express... 10 out of 10. And also the interaction between him and the boy is so lovely. They are so cute.

On the other side, I can't believe they can express all the complexity of the society and different communities as that much. Especially the context and past, the conflicts in psychology, the process of personality formation, and other issues faced by legal and illegal migrant workers as well as local residents. The film presents many aspects that make viewers reflect.

I've always been a big fan of crime series and movies/films in the medical field. I've watched quite a lot of films from the US and Korean, but this is the first time ever to watch a Taiwanese one.

Overall, I think the story-telling of this film is very good, easy to understand and fascinating to follow. Regardless of the criminal or medical factors, the film does really well. Also, the actors did a relatively good job in delivering the characters' emotion and situation to viewers, especially the main character Pham Van Ninh.

I got the chance to meet Lien Binh Phat in person in his Fancine in Hanoi and listen to him sharing about the experience and stories in the process of shooting the film. He said that he has a wall of scripts in his hotel room. Each piece of paper is 1 scene, and after every shoot, he would remove it as an achievement. He also explained that doing this helps him stayed in character, since the role Pham Van Ninh has really deep and complicated mentality. I think that is an indication of how dedication the actor has for his character, and for me, it is the quality of an actor should have.

After watching the first 4 episodes, I feel very attracted by the story. The filmmakers know how to enhance the sound and visual effects to make viewers focus on the significant situations.

However, there's only 1 thing that makes me a little uncomfortable - the actors' English. As an English learner, I don't like it very much, but as a viewers, I understand that it's the intention of the director.

In short, I think everyone who has an interest in crime/medic series should watch this film. I guarantee the experience is so good you just want to watch more ^^

Not finished watching yet but must say it has an interesting and nuanced plot, themes. Medical film is not new, but the topic of Vietnamese immigrants to Taiwan is a social commentary worth diving into. Explicit depiction of medical, operation procedure though, everything seems quite raw and realistic, which helps the somewhat serious tone. The multi-language was somewhat disrupting the viewing experience but it serves the reality of the situation and I got used to it after the first episode.

Lien Binh Phat's acting is really solid and embodies his character with actual depth. His face and voice are born for the screen, especially for these kinds of roles, i must say. I truly hope this series will gain more attention from viewers everywhere.

Each episode is worth watching, both the actors are epic, they really know how to catch the audiences' attention every episode. I initially tuned in because of Lien Binh Phat, who became one of my favourite actors since his work Song Lang few years ago. After the pilot, I got sucked in.

The fast pace might make you find it hard to keep up, at first. But I find this interesting, as this does require you to just put down whatever you're having at hand to have your attention fully on the screen and watch as the plot links itself together, the characters unfold and the moment everything clicks will guarantee a "wow" out loud.

Each episode will leave you thinking. Or half-leaping from the edge of your seat with your hand over your chest while a bittersweet aftertaste blooms in your mouth.

The actors work brilliant with each other. Ning Chang and Lien Binh Phat's chemistry faintly reminds me of a more snarkier relationship between Dr. House and Dr. Wilson in House M. D --- should their characters find each other in a different circumstance, it is guaranteed a rather good rivalry-at-work sitcom-ish situation would occur.

You can tell that lots of care were poured into this serie. If you're looking for some worthy serie to watch, consider giving this a chance!
