Apart from ghost snake related narrative has a great mystic appeal. In the dramatization of the paranormal affair, snake-related storyline has its own appeal. India inherits great mythological account related to snake. In the context of eastern India, the mythical account of Behula bears great significance. The story is about the journey of dethroned Goddess Manasha Devi attaining the status of Goddess which depicts sanctity, struggle, chastity and determination of a lonely woman to get back life of her husband after snake-bite.

The new Bengali Web Series Bishohori is an effort to recreate this mythical story. But it is a modern crime story. Naturally, deviation is expected. But point is : does it seem convincing? Is there thrill? No. Apart from few exceptions, this is boring. There seems no logic to refer to the grand legacy of Behula in the family dispute and making mockery of religious belief in the name of creativity. The narrative fails to justify the Caption. Naturally, it is dejecting.

Similarly, the role played by different actors and actresses has been poor. However, Kaushik Roy has made brilliant performance. Although, Roy has not played the lead role but whatever be, he has proved his talent. Significantly, Roy proves himself that he can play better in negative role. This is true that the voice quality and the style of dialogue delivery of Kaushik Roy never sound befitting for negative role. This has been the perception that he can never be a natural choice for negative role or the one he has played in this Web Series. But it looks he has made his performance better and really shines here althrough.
