Did Jada Pinkett Smith Open Up About Her “Entanglement” In Front Of Will Smith? (Photo Credit – Instagram/Koimoi)
Back in 2020, Jada Pinkett Smith didn’t just acknowledge the rumors surrounding her private life; she brought herself to Red Table Talk and put it all out there. In a surprise episode, she sat down with her husband, Will Smith, to clear the air about her “entanglement” with R&b singer August Alsina.
The conversation stemmed from Alsina’s bombshell revelation in an interview, in which he claimed he had a romantic relationship with Pinkett Smith and that Will had given them his blessing. Days later, Pinkett Smith teased a response, tweeting: “There’s some healing that needs to happen… so I’m bringing myself to The Red Table.” And she did.
Facing Will Smith, she admitted that she and Alsina had been involved—four and a half years ago—while she and Will were separated.

Meyer is directing the film, which will also star Alia Shawkat and Seth Rogen.

Wadzilla director Adam Rifkin is gearing up for yet another eclectic production, accompanied this time by a star-studded cast that will include the somewhat infamous James Franco alongside a plethora of other household names. Entitled Toad, the upcoming project has been described as "a psychedelic stoner comedy" that will put viewers at the center of a trippy, drug-fueled odyssey to Las Vegas and beyond.
Rifkin's Toad follows the shenanigans of Alex and Sam, two down-on-their-luck stoners who end up in the service of menacing crime lord Charles (Robinson), and are subsequently pressured into transporting a mysterious package from LA to Vegas. When Alex and Sam decide to take a peek inside the box, they discover live, psychedelic "acid" toads which promptly begin to overheat, leaving our hapless protagonist duo no option but to perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. As a result, Alex and Sam are dosed with extreme amounts of the toads' psychedelic ooze,...

Mufasa: The Lion King continues to find its footing at the box office, where it beat the openings of One of Them Days — the first female-led Black comedy since 2017’s Girls Trip — and Wolf Man over the long Martin Luther King Jr. holiday despite being in its fifth weekend.
The bad news overall: it was one of the lowest MLK weekends in years as Hollywood and theaters face another slowdown in event product for the time being.
Mufasa won the official four-day holiday with an estimated $15.5 million as it celebrated becoming only the second film in 15 years to jump the $200 million domestically despite opening to less than $40 million (it opened the weekend before Christmas. Through Monday, the origin pic has earned $209.8 million domestically and $382.2 million overseas dfor a global total of $592 million. While there’s no chance it will ever match 2019’s The Lion King ($1.66 billion), it’s staying power hasn’t gone unnoticed.

As “One of Them Days” finally hit theaters this weekend, its creative team, including writer Syreeta Singleton, director Lawrence Lamont and producers Issa Rae and Deniese Davis, hope the Black duo comedy encourages Hollywood studios to support more Black stories — especially given the long and challenging road it took to get their film made.
“There’s constantly things that we have to overcome to make a movie theatrical and to ensure that, by the studio standards, people will go to see it,” Rae told TheWrap, sharing the same sentiments as Davis, her producing and business partner, who urged film lovers to head to theaters for the film. “That’s why Deniese is saying it is so important for people to buy these tickets, because it’ll prove that there is a demand for these type of movies. Sunday Am Writethru Not counting the 2021 pandemic year when all theaters were closed, it’s the second lowest MLK 4-day weekend of the last 10 years with the marketplace now estimated to do $96.3M.
The last time it was this low was 2022 with $85M, and that’s when Paramount/Spyglass’ Scream led with a $33.8M Friday-Monday opening. Pin that overall low weekend total for all movies back then to a lack of product, even though Spider-Man: No Way Home was second with $24.2M, and some Covid jitters.
‘Beverly Hills Ninja’
You can’t complain and say people don’t go to movies over MLK weekend: There’s just nothing they’re craving to see this year. The MLK 4-day weekend with the right movies has the power to do $200M-plus; 2020 led by Bad Boys for Life amassed an overall weekend total of $205.3M while 2015 remains the holiday’s record for the...

Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King performed well during the slow Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, making about $16.5 million over four days. Even though the cartoon prequel has been out for five weeks, it is doing well because new movie releases are not performing as strongly during this normally busy time.
In the last ten years, excluding 2021’s pandemic-affected numbers, the box office is expected to make just $101.2 million from all movies over the long weekend. This is a big drop compared to past years when ticket sales for the holiday weekend often exceeded $200 million.
Two new releases had a hard time becoming popular. One of Them Days, starring Sza and Keke Palmer, is expected to earn between $14 and $15 million, placing it in second place. The film received positive reviews (96% on Rotten Tomatoes) and an A- score from audiences on CinemaScore. However, its opening weekend is still small compared...

Jada Pinkett Smith’s No-Nudity Choice ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Did you know Jada Pinkett Smith has a strict “no nudity” rule regarding love scenes? The actress who brought the heat in Magic Mike Xxl and Girls Trip keeps things covered when the cameras roll. And honestly, we’re kinda here for it. Jada’s boundary is like a breath of fresh air in a world where lines are crossed, and comfort zones are stretched.
She spilled the tea on Legacy Talk with Lena Waithe, saying, “No nudity. That was always the case for me.” Simple, no-nonsense, and it’s served her well. This rule has been part of her arsenal from the beginning—back when she was doing serious on-screen chemistry in Set It Off, the 1996 heist flick that had us all on the edge of our seats. Jada’s character, Stony, may have been stealing cash and breaking hearts,...

The Equalizer cast carried the television adaptation through its five seasons, proving the series about someone helping people who can't help themselves is just as popular now as it was when the original series aired in the 1980s. Based on the original series of the same name starring Edward Woodward, the CBS reboot features Queen Latifah as a former CIA operative who seeks justice on her own terms in New York City. The Equalizer retains the spirit of the original series, along with the movie franchise starring Denzel Washington, but gender-swapped the lead to Robyn McCall instead of Bob McCall.
In the pilot, Robyn (Latifah) helps a young girl, Jewel Machado, who becomes mixed up in a murder conspiracy. Robyn considers returning to the CIA but would rather spend time with her teenage daughter, Delilah, while moonlighting as a Big Apple vigilante. The show has changed up the cast somewhat...

Exclusive: Actress Kate Walsh (Grey’s Anatomy) has boarded The Runt, an Oscar-qualified live-action short film written, directed and produced by Emmy-nominated TV veteran Christy Stratton (Modern Family), as executive producer.
Walsh is just the latest to attach in that capacity today, following Brendan Gleeson with The Boat and Sharon Horgan with Calf. The project reunites her with Stratton, with whom she previously collaborated on the Emmy-nominated web series Everyone’s Crazy But Us.
The Runt follows Janet Bauer (Luna Martin), who like most 12-year-olds in 1979, lives for Friday nights at the Moonlight Rollerway. This particular Friday is special — it’s the last one before junior high starts. When Janet finds out the 8th grade girls have chosen her to be the 7th grade “runt,” she decides she must skate with a boy to prove her maturity and avoid this fate, which would ruin her life forever.

No matter what your career is, it's important to set personal and professional boundaries. Whether that's refusing to do work when you're off the clock or just making a rule that you never work on your birthday (like me), it's important to know where your boundaries lie for peace of mind. When you're an actor, those boundaries can involve some very different elements, including performing in sex scenes. Though sex scenes may be awkward to film (unless you're Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh), they are often a necessary and important part of storytelling because sexuality is a part of the human experience. So, how do actors navigate their own boundaries when it comes to filming sex scenes? For Jada Pinkett Smith, it's always been about one simple rule.

Scary Movie fans were greeted with a nice surprise when it was revealed that the Wayans brothers are returning to the franchise for the first time since 2001's Scary Movie 2. Of course, with their announcement, the next big question is whether any of the original film's stars would also be returning, particularly Anna Faris and Regina Hall. Both have expressed an interest in reprising their roles, and now Hall is speaking about it following the news that the franchise is back in the hands of the Wayans brothers, where it belongs.
During a chat with TV Insider, the interviewer mentioned that the Wayans brothers are returning to the Scary Movie franchise and that Faris said she would come back as long as the money is right and Hall returns alongside her. Judging from the Girls Trip star's reaction, she's game to see if her character Brenda Meeks can make...

Lil Rel Howery is set to make his directorial debut and star in the horror comedy Haunted Heist, which will co-star Tiffany Haddish. The film was written by Carl Reid, who co-wrote the script for Hulu's 2024 release Mr. Crocket, a horror movie about a sinister children's television show host. French distribution outfit The Coven, which recently enjoyed big success with Terrifier 3, will distribute Haunted Heist.
The plot, according to Deadline, is as follows:
...four estranged friends reunite at what appears to be a typical house. But one friend has ulterior motives; he plans to rob the place and needs their help to find an antique worth a fortune. But the house is straight up haunted, and the group must squash their differences to survive the night and an insane pack of ghosts.
While the entire premise sounds promising, the phrase "insane pack of ghosts" will certainly pique the interest of the horror community.

The latest imagining of a live-action version of The Simpsons includes interesting casting choices for Apu and Ned Flanders. There have been several viral suggestions of how to cast a live-action Simpsons, though the main choices usually tend to be a well-known comedic actor like Adam Sandler or Kevin James as Marge, while the role of Homer is often imagined for an A-list performer, such as Scarlett Johansson or Charlize Theron. The more interesting selections tend to arise with the large number of supporting characters that populate Springfield.
The latest imagined trailer comes from Sjones Films, taking a different approach by picturing younger versions of most of the characters. That includes 21 Jump Street Jonah Hill, who plays Homer Simpson. Girls Trip star Tiffany Haddish portrays Marge Simpson, SNL's Pete Davidson is Bart, and Black-ish's Marsai Martin is Lisa. Rounding out the main family, Danny DeVito is Grandpa Simpson.
