Is that the last we'll see of Community or will the hashtag become a reality when six seasons are joined by a movie?
Warning: contains spoilers for Community season 6.
For the first time since 2009, Community just got through a season without the threat of cancellation looming over it at any given moment. NBC finally pulled the plug on Dan Harmon's weird and wonderful series in 2014 after five seasons, but like Arrested Development before it and The Mindy Project since, it got another season by moving online, to the Yahoo! Screen streaming service.
Given how Harmon was fired in 2012, following a harried production schedule on season three and a very public dispute with Chevy Chase over filming, it seems kind of impossible that the show ever got to the six seasons for which the fans campaigned ceaselessly. #SixSeasonsAndAMovie became the rallying cry for Greendale's Human Beings and the lifespan of...

With Community down three cast members, the theme song’s closing words (“one by one they all just fade away”) have never been more appropriate. Nonetheless, the start of Season 6 – its first on the Yahoo Screen streaming service – is a promising one.
The remainder of the Greendale 7 quickly fill their current vacancies with two distinct personalities — one of whom looks a lot like the school’s former head of It, and the other looking a heck of a lot like that guy from The Cape.

California’s long-awaited expansion of the Film and TV Tax Credit Program is still months away, but things are starting to look up for the state in the high stakes of broadcast pilot production. After hitting a new low last year with a measly five drama pilots and slipping to 85% of comedy pilot production, Los Angeles regained some ground with seven drama pilots, tying Vancouver and last year’s leader New York for No. 1. The city also has upped its total this year to 93% of the comedy pilots, including straight-to-series Telenovela at NBC.
But the drama pilot total is still the second-lowest tally for LA, below the 2013 total of 12. What’s more, Los Angeles’ pilot production comes from only two studios, Warner Bros. TV and ABC Studios, with everyone else shunning the City of Angels — not the first time multiple major TV producers have stayed away in filming their drama pilots.
