Emilie de Ravin and Andrew Walker star in the new film The Reluctant Royal, about Johnny Payne (Walker), a car mechanic from Philadelphia, who discovers that his estranged father is a duke.

Prudence Thorp, (Emilie) the duke’s advisor, assists Johnny in navigating this unfamiliar life.

In an interview with Swooon, Emilie de Ravin discussed the story further, highlighting the significant development the characters undergo when Johnny travels overseas.
