Of course I had not heard about this 2025 movie prior to watching it. But then again, I am not really keeping myself up to date on Lifetime movies. But with it being a movie that I hadn't already seen, and I had the chance to watch it, of course I had to check out what director Craig Pryce had to offer.
The storyline in the movie was pretty straightforward. Writers Alyssa Kramer and Troup Wood put together a fair enough script, although it was a bit generic and rather predictable. But it still made for an entertaining and enjoyable movie, and isn't that the sole purpose of a movie? So yeah, I was adequately entertained throughout the course of the 86 minutes that the movie ran for.
I was not familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, except for leading actress Janaya Stephens, but it was a good ensemble of actors and actresses. They put on good performances to bring the story to life and the characters to life on the screen.
"The Killer is Calling" is not a movie that makes use of special effects.
This movie was actually adequate entertainment for a single viewing, and not one you should avoid just because of it being a Lifetime movie.
My rating of "The Killer is Calling" lands on a six out of ten stars.
